I hear ya girl - Lost 100 pounds and just managed to gain 15 of them back - not the same but the feeling is completely terrifying and deflating. I suggest you go back to basics and recommit yourself to a plan that you can feel good about. Maybe you can't do all the same things you were doing before but can you do some of…

Timely for me - I went bananas over Christmas and ate way too much. I think just being really strict and hyper-vigilant with yourself is the key. Usually for me, the cravings are gone after three days, but those first three days totally suck.

I have been vegan for a couple years and this is my personal conclusion. I would never go vegan if my only or even main reason was to be able to do so with 'more calories' because the other hardships that come along with it are soooo not worth that. If you're doing it for ethical reasons first, and maintenance reasons…

I am wearing shorts - and f*** whoever dares to comment ;) My ultimate goal is a bikini... my belly area is nowhere close to being able to pull that off though. I hope this year...will take a cruise somewhere warm just to do it :)

I have such similar stats as you (33, 5'6", lost 85-90 lbs, in the upper 140s) and have a similar body 'look'. I personally am still going for fat loss but that's just me. I am having the same struggle and concerns with regards to fat placement. My upper body is like ripped, I can see my ribs on the top half, collar bone…

I was reading some of these comments and remembering Jessica Simpson who, when she got famous, had a bangin' body, yes? I think we can mostly agree on that. And then she gained something like 80-100 lbs during pregnancy because... and I'm paraphrasing but, "I was sick of watching everything I ate. I wanted to, for once in…

For me, I wouldn't choose the word mourn although it's in the ballpark. I would say I feel wistful about it. Like oh man wasn't that awesome when I could buy a whole bag of doritos and eat it in one day with half a block of melted velveeta to dip it in. Mmm. But I haven't done that in years. So I don't actually remember…

I was noticing that too... none of the gimmicky stuff you tend to hear. I totally expected some Atkins people, or intermittent fasters to come out of the wood work too... nope not yet! I am so glad these tips are so down to earth and there is definitely a pattern- logging every day and weighing often of example. And I am…

I am keeping a running list of all the good tips guys thanks :) I am keeping a running list of all the ones I think might work for me and since they are all down to earth and realistic I have to say that it's nearly all of them. Really helping me thanks :) Still refreshing every now and then - would love to see more input…

These are great! Love all of these, reading every single one, thank you :)

I AM - I just haven't been doing things like Crystal Light, (10 cals), cold eeze when I'm sick (18), sheesh. thought I was being positive

@StaciMarie1974 In the past 10 days I haven't been doing so great emotionally, very low energy, maybe some depression symptoms though probably nothing worth medicating. Going thru a big life change/quarter life crisis sort of heh. I don't know if the lack of food --> feeling of blah or feeling of blah -->weight stalling.…

it's a 1.2 lb difference from Jan 4 to today which is kind of a bummer but I'm looking at my trend line and see that I was doing pretty well up until about 10 days ago and then started seriously stalling out so I'll give it another week or so. Thanks for the reminder @StaciMarie1974

@blues4miles glad to know I am not alone with the math games! le sigh. I weigh almost everything at the moment but I do let little itty bitty things slide for sanity reasons (mainly, spray oil, and I don't weigh my apples if I know I'm within 10 grams) but I like what you said. if after another week this doesn't resolve I…

I have a completely unsupported by evidence theory that the body isn't able to digest raw foods as efficiently as cooked foods. I have had very moderate success with a 'raw til 4' plan - but even with that, the effect was negligible. Maaaaaybe 100 cals per day. Also sure protein is 'harder' for your body to process than…

I can do 1270 I think, although it's not without effort and I do have my moments of battling hunger but I'd say I have been mostly compliant overall. I am trying a new strategy this week where I'm trying to eat around 1200 and give myself a roughly 300-400 calorie treat once per week. Whether it's working, wellllll... the…

OK- I'm at a point where I think I'm in the home stretch. I think I have 15-25 lbs to go. Is 1lb per week reasonable? When to drop down to 1/2 lb per wk? MFP seems to think 1 lb is doable - puts me at 1270 cals per day, and I figure I might try to eat back 75%ish of exercise cals which is pretty reasonable. My TDEE is…

OK I prelogged today, saving 75 cals for Sunday. I set up reminders on my phone to prelog the day, think about how my day went, and to save calories at the end of the day. I put the honey and chips way up high where I can't easily reach them. and I already printed out one sign for my kitchen and I'll do one or two more…

wow great suggestions guys... I will * pre-log my days * try to save maybe 50 cals a day for a bangin' treat when I go out once during the wk - I think this will help that sweets craving in the PM too - I can have 50-100 cals of something 'okay' that night or save them for something really really worthwhile later, that…

oh man I went from 36H to 32D in about 70 lbs... meanwhile I still have a gut, thighs, *kitten*, but my chest/shoulder area is all bones. Although my problem areas are smaller too. Get yourself a bra that fits really well it really helps.

I generally overestimate without a scale, with the one exception being chips, crackers, or things that tend to break up in the package before you serve them to yourself. Those are fun to weigh out :)

Thanks for starting this thread- I have been struggling with this late at night lately and wrote down the suggestions. Other things that I have done in the past with success include: Gum (either fruity or minty flavored), 0-cal beverages like diet soda (caffeine free too if late at night), tea, coffee, pickles (5-10 cals…

I try to stick to around 1200 cals most days and do my best to eat a plant based diet (though I fail sometimes but I do try). I also try to top 100g of protein each day. You can add me if you want. Every day I try to 1) Drink a protein shake, I buy 70% pea and 30% rice protein powder from truenutrition.com (Not getting…

I would not drink any alcohol. First, they are empty calories and chances are it's not going to fill you up (at least, the amount you should be drinking and still staying in your calorie budget, it probably won't.) Second, if you do drink, your mental defenses will fall and you'll be like oh F- it that looks so good and…

First, log the first box. Second, log the second box. Look at that number of calories. Maybe pre log your lunch, and dinner and then look at the daily total. Then hit complete entry and see how fat you'd be in 5 weeks if you did that every day. Still want the second box? You could also - Print out a picture of half a pound…

I started at about 240 about 5 years ago and I'm your height. I am at about 150 today. You can do it. It might take a while but it is still so worth it. The biggest thing I can tell you is that if you stick to the program here, even with your ups and downs, even when you fail, you will eventually have success. 180 is…

Oh geez this thread called out to me so much. I have a couple people in my life who are constantly telling me about "how to lose weight" and "what a person should eat" - first problem being that it's all *kitten* nonsense ("Oh you just have to eat 'clean'! and it just drops off) and the second being that these people are…

Do some googling about the "fat woosh" - I found over time I tend to really hover around a certain weight and about once per month, I will lose 3-4 lbs in 3-4 days. Then hover, hover, hover... woosh. It's a very common female thing. The body holds on to water unnecessarily. You sound like you're doing awesome. Give it…

I agree with holohuroidea - every little bit helps. Don't get discouraged. Eating fish and eggs now and then is better than going back to the Standard American Diet any day of the week. I aim for 95% vegan (screw you haters) and had the same issues as you did. I did the following. 1) Take a vegan multivitamin. has 100% of…
