What are all of you doing to lose weight on MFP? I'm 5'3", and 65. I've been eating between 1,000 and 1200 calories. I walk about 4 miles a day or go to a cardio class. I'm losing about 1 lb a week. The 1,000 calories give me some leeway if I'm not tracking accurately.

Yep, weight loss is hard. I can put on 2 lbs overnight from salt. Also if you aren't "regular", poop can weigh a lb.

Congratulations on your 10 lb weight loss! I also am a slow loser. at 1200 with exercise, I can lose 5 lbs a month. I gained a lot of weight during the last two years with covid boredom so I'm back again.

I have a breakfast meeting that has high calorie food and fruit. I eat breakfast before the meeting and then have the fruit.

I bought apples this morning. When I needed a snack, there was something healthy and low cal available.

I have to plan my exercise the day before and then plan everything else around it. Helps me get it in. Love this thread.

Hello all, I'm 5'3" and weigh 130 ish. My goal is 125 ish. MFP give me 1200 calories. I find to lose weight I need to leave 200 exercise calories "left over'. My main exercise is walking 4 to 8 miles per day 5 days a week with some days going to cardio class instead of walking. If I eat my exercise calories, nothing…

I don't eat about 200 exercise calories per day. I'm still losing slowly. If I get my exercise calories, I hardly lose at all.

I've started pre logging dinner. That helps me stick with the plan. It also let's me know if I can have a little extra something. Yes on drinking water before and during meals. I have carbonated water with a splash of cranberry juice.

I weigh myself daily. It helps me keep focused on losing weight. I know that weight loss isn't linear and the scale goes up and down. This may be different for others.

I cut out the glass of wine with dinner. Now I have mineral water with a splash of cranberry juice.

As a suggestion, go to the consignment store and buy tight jeans. You should see changes in how they fit. Worth a try.

Make it a habit and something you can do for life, otherwise you will gain it back when you go back to "normal"

I have my husband drop me off 4 miles from home when we are out. Then I walk home. I kind of have to walk all the way home. :)

I was in a WW meeting with a newbie. She said she had the zero point soup all the time but wasn't losing weight. Upon further discussion, she said she was adding pasta to the soup but didn't think that counted. The leader diplomatically clarified the pt system.

I found I am better off not to have sweets. When I was working, there was candy everywhere. When I eat candy, I crave sugar in a short while. Now I don't buy it and I don't have it in my house. If we go on a trip and dessert is served, I fall back into old habits.
