I too was overweight most of my life, over 200 in the 8th grade, oh so many years ago. I've posted part of this elsewhere on my 50th birthday, and I'll share it here again. I started my weight loss journey almost 8 years ago when I was over 350 lbs (my scale just said ERR). There have been many ups and downs along the way,…

Great job @nighthawk584 . My motivation is the same, I wanted to get healthy when I started to get serious. When you get that type-2 diabetes diagnosis, it's rough. Many ups and downs in this journey myself, but I'm down to one med, and hope to be off that soon as well and get to say I beat diabetes.

Thank you everyone, I'm going to be a work-in-progress for a long time, but getting better every day.

You can do it!!

Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids. When you start working out, if you aren't drinking enough your body tends to hold fluids as well.

Down 125lbs since starting, several ups and downs along the way. I post pretty much daily, and interact as much as possible. Feel free to add me and ask any questions, I enjoy helping others on their journeys!

Working toward 199 (Haven't been in the 100's since middle school so long ago), so 26ish more. That being said, I'm getting to the point that weight is just a number, it's more about being healthy the numbers from metabolic tests. And thank you! @mattig89ch

Always set short attainable goals, as well as your long-term. There will always be set-backs, but you can do it, just keep going.

Congrats, and great job! It's definently not easy at first, but once you are into the habit, it's a lot easier!
