  • I haven't started feeling sick at all yet, hopefully it stays that way for a while! So for now I while continue to try and eat healthy and then I guess I will eat anything that I can stand! I've been doing Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30, do you guys think that's safe to do still? At some point, I'm sure my stomach will get…
  • Hi ladies! I just found out this past Sunday that I'm pregnant with my first! I think I'm about 5 weeks along (due March 26th-ish according to google), and have my first appointment with my Dr. on 8/22. So excited...and terrified! As far as fitness and nutrition go, what were the first changes you made to your routine?…
  • It's not food exactly, but...beer.
  • My sister-in-law and I were thinking about running that one! It sounds like it's not necessarily a bunch of "serious" runners, so I won't have to feel so bad about how slow I am!
  • This is probably common sense, but obviously I didn't think of it...wear something you've broken in a bit. I bought a new comfy Under Armour shirt when I ran the mini a couple years ago and by the end of the race I had a nice red welt under my right arm from where it was rubbing against the seam on my sleeve the entire…
  • What kind of exercise are you doing? I find that I tend to plateau at a certain point and I have to change up my workouts in order to get things going again. For instance, I usually just run, but I get to a certain point where the scale isn't moving anymore. When I mix in some weights with my cardio (I LOVE Jillian…
  • I'm in the midst of it now and I really like it! I have the RunDouble app as well which is nice. Some of the runs look daunting at first, but each level really does prepare you for the next.
  • I'm at Thompson and Franklin!
  • Marzetti Simply Dressed Balsamic! It's a little high in sodium, but SO good! 90 calories per 2 tbsp serving, and a little bit goes a long way. I never put 2 whole tablespoons of this dressing on my salad.
  • I really want to see what responses you get to this! My husband doesn't need to lose a pound (lucky!) but it's easier for me to eat well when I can make the two of us the same healthy dinner and he is SO picky! One trick I have found is substituting ground turkey for ground beef in chili, pasta sauce, etc. You really can't…
  • I think every woman's body reacts differently to weight gain and loss, but I would say there's a good chance yours would decrease in size with weight loss since they increased due to weight gain. That's how it worked with me anyway, and I didn't have much up there to begin with :(
  • Makes sense. I didn't do the 30DS meal plan and saw good results so I don't suppose I need to make major changes. I've looked through the RI30 meal plan a bit and gotten some good ideas, but it sounds like I would need a lot more time to dedicate to food prep and that's not going to happen!
  • I enter 20 minutes of Calisthenics, but if you have an HRM you could just manually add what it tells you.
  • IN! I needed something to do right after work anyway!
  • Probably nothing to worry about. Mine do it too- I always take my rings off before exercise. According to Livestrong.com, when you exercise, you increase blood flow and body temp, and your blood vessels dilate to cool you off. Especially if you sweat a lot, this is nothing to worry about.
  • Can they be girly push-ups?
  • You're absolutely right, it's very high in sodium. Not something I'd eat every day because of that, but in comparison to a lot of restaurant meals, still a decent choice.
  • I know! It's no dainty salad AT ALL. I was pleasantly surprised.
  • LOVE the 30 Day Shred, and really the whole point is to keep moving- if jumping jacks hurt your knees then just do extra punches!
  • I know, I know...you're totally right. I'm just searching for a tangible goal I guess. Instead of a goal weight, maybe I should have a goal pair of pants!
  • One word: BEER
