You'll see you can do it. If you are ever bored, read some of the blogs and you will see that you are not alone. I go back and read my first blog in January and am constantly amazed at the difference in myself. It takes a while, but you can do this and be successful, like your inspirational daughter!

My moment was the 1300 calories for the Pecan Chicken salad at TGI Friday's one day. I ordered it thinking salad was the least fattening choice...even knowing pecans were probably high in calories. Looked it up later, and it was almost the whole day's worth of calories! Amazing what a little knowledge can do... I now check…

Minor correction! Sorry about that... Should read: Combine chopped tomatoes (if you use them..it is good without), spinach, shallot mixture, cheese, basil, and 1/4 tsp salt, stirring well...

I do a couple things...I'll drink a glass of water & maybe have a granola thin or something like that with it to kill that craving. I will also do something to distract myself, vacuum, take out the trash, read a book, anything... If it just doesn't go away, then eat something healthy not your normal snacks (mine was a box…

I love mine too. It helps you see what a portion size really should be. I also found utensils that measure your servings. There are 2 spoons, one for a starch & one for veggies. The spatula is the size of a deck of cards suppose to be close to 3 oz. Measuring has been a key to keeping the calories down. Hope that helps.

1st Southern Cooking is so bad...that is hurts...I get it..but sometimes with pleasure comes a little pain, right? Scott..don't accidently get a little drool in the dirt or what a muddy mess!
