Haven't read all the replies as I was getting a little fed up with some of them tbh! My only response would be drink plenty of water as you will have lost a lot of fluid being sick. And get some rest. In the morning, if you are feeling up to it start with a little dry toast. Don't worry about the calories but avoid fatty…

Thanks for your reply. I think you are right and maybe certain foods just don't agree with me anymore, just got to figure out what!

Fantastic - good luck for the future and well done on what you have achieved so far. Every small step is a step closer to our goals.

What are you doing while you're snacking? I used to always snack while watching TV. By the time I get home from work, get the kids to bed and cook my dinner it is at least 8.00, so I veg in front of the TV for the last couple of hours. My husband works late so I am at home alone & often bored but can't go anywhere because…

Close - I am 38 :)

Plenty of water to sip so you have something to occupy you which isn't food? Dried fruit or rice cakes?

That's great about your mum and dad - well done!

I vary my breakfast every say, usually some kind of cereal or porridge, occasionally toast, but it is usually around the 200 mark. Are you having loads of milk? I only put enough on to moisten the cereal whereas my husband makes the cereal go for a swim!

Good luck

Hi and welcome, I'm mum to a 4 year old and a 2 year old and trying to get back up the slippery slope post babies. Good luck :)

Not necessarily, but they have to have actually been in the film above!

Yes. Probably she is filling up on milk and that's why she won't eat other things. Maybe only allow her milk as "pudding" once she has cleared her plate - you may need to start off with smaller portions and build it up, but something needs to change & the sooner the better

I agree. While I use either semi-skimmed milk or the 1% milk we get here (same calcium but less fat), I eat full fat yoghurts as I don't like all the artificial sweeteners they put in the low fat ones & invariably my 4 and 2 year old steal my yoghurts so I'd rather have something better for them. I think it is fine if that…

Sorry to hear you have been going through a rough time. Last year when my mum's cancer was diagnosed as inoperable, I struggled to keep going. Losing weight at the time was out of the question. Now the problems are still there, but somewhere I have found some willpower and determination. I am back on track and hope you…

Yes he died 11 years before the film was made! Simon Pegg

So sad and such a waste of a young life. Feel so sorry for his family. Makes me really grateful to live in a country where gun crime is so rare. RIP

I have never smoked, but really feel for people trying to give up. Good luck - it is a huge step in the right direction for your health.

I'm afraid I don't really hold with these type of diets - the trouble with slimming fast is gaining again fast. I think a lifestyle change is far more long term.

I was the same until now (throw in a couple of babies along the way). I was overweight in my early 20s, slim by 22, after 25 weight gradually increased, dieted in the last year of my 20s, was slim again for my 30th, had 2 babies and enjoyed my food too much and here I am at 38 trying to get back in shape for my 40th! This…

Great achievements!

I switched from margarine when I found out what was in it. So either the olive oil spreads, spreadable butters or unsalted butter, but olive oil for cooking. I only use it on bread with e.g. ham or cheese, if the filling itself is moist I don't use butter.

January is when I started and I have lost 20lbs

I think it is genetic predispositon. I was lucky enough not to get any. I did use Bio Oil a lot both my pregnancies but I also gained around 25lbs each time

I would have thought it was more about what you eat after exercise that is key. What sort of snacks are you having? If you are just getting a quick energy burst from a sugar rush then then that would explain why you are eating so much to feel full. You need slow release foods which will fill you up instead perhaps?

That's great. My husband has been out cycled by 90 year olds in the local cycling club before. Puts us relatively young'uns to shame!
