It is a very solid plan! Go, Jonathon!!!

Don't do it for him--do it for you! You want to be the best person you can be, just for yourself. I'm sure you are a wonderful person regardless of your weight and have no reason to feel ashamed around him or his friends. Don't start thinking your relationship is good or bad based on being fat or skinny--it is good or bad…

I usually don't worry about a few things under 10 calories either. So, mustard, no, ketchup, sometimes, mayo always. I want to succeed in the long term and don't want to feel like I've failed if I haven't logged every little thing.

You are FABULOUS!!! I love to see the slow, steady loss. Fantastic job!!!

Can someone still achieve their weight loss goals without exercising? If your goal is to weigh less, then the answer is yes. I have lost my weight without exercise.
-
I also looooove carbs, especially bread in any form--rolls, toast, pizza, cookies, muffins--you name it! Part of my strategy is to sometimes keep completely away from those foods--keep them out of the house, or don't start with even one piece of toast, in case I can't stop. Other times I do fine with just one sandwich,…

You get double the exercise calories with a windchill below zero, of course!! :)

Hi Avi! You can do this! Keep your GOAL in mind. And FORGIVE yourself when you mess up, and keep going!
-
You are seriously awesome. Congrats to you on your hard work!
-
This, exactly! Good luck--you can do it!

I'm a homeschool mom of 4 in Idaho and lost without any exercise. Ideally you could do something with your kids, even playing games indoors. To me, tracking my food is more important for weight loss than exercise. Feel free to friend me!

Hi! I started in March and have lost 40 so far. At first I concentrated only on logging all food, without worrying too much about staying under my goal. Just log, log, log! I found that I would eat less then, so I wouldn't have to log embarrassing things like 6 candy bars. I plan to log basically forever, or I know I'll…

Hmmm....maybe if I got blonder than I am, someone would notice and comment on my loss!

Perfect! I don't think of it as yoyo-ing, but as learning. The first time you learned deprivation won't work, and the second time you learned something else--that you have to be careful not to let life get you sidetracked. Now you can start again with those new pieces of knowledge. You can do it!!

I love growing pumpkins and I love Alexander McCall Smith--that is so cool he replied to you! Very interesting to see that American pumpkins are an African staple. Our sugar pumpkins we grow are more like squash, with strings in them. Still delicious. I heard that canned pumpkin is actually something like Hubbard squash…

Good idea I've thought of trying.
-
I'm not sure...I've heard that once a day it should be practically colorless...not really any yellow at all.
-
What a great summary--thank you.

Awesome!

I've lost all mine with almost zero exercise. As in far less than once per week. I'm not recommending it, just saying.
-
You are a lean machine! I'm so much better than I was I tend to start thinking I'm okay now, when I still have a long way to go. That's dangerous for me! It's hard to imagine being thinner than I am now, since I haven't been for decades.
-
Wow, I have almost the same starting and ending weight as you for the past 6 months! I also love to weigh myself each day but only record the losses, when I'm sure they're "real." I love to look at the spot on the dial where I started from, to be able to see that visual reminder of how far I've come. It's a big motivator…

Tomorrow I hope to make zucchini relish with onions & peppers and can it. It is from my Better Homes & Gardens cookbook.

I love to weigh myself each morning. I look at where I used to be, compared to where I am now. (Old fashioned scale.) Tracking tracking tracking my food is the very most helpful thing to me. Tracking!!! Did I say I can't handle chips???? I welcome new friends!

I like this! Thanks for sharing it.
-
Thank you--that's great to know! I've been feeling like at least I can learn something each time I have a small failure so I will keep it up.
-
Wonderful job!! It is very inspiring. What sort of things did you learn in your program? I really want to be successful in the long haul.

Yep, me too. So all I'm giving up is that way-too-full feeling, and reaching for the pepto after pigging out.
