Absolutely! People often get complacent in relationships - I think you should always try to look your best for yourself - and your partner.

I don't have a recipe off hand - but red apples go great with pork. I got a seasoning packet from McCormick where I marinated the pork in that mixture and apple cider vinegar. Pan fry the pork (with seasoning mix) and then cube up the apples and toss in the pan when the pork is just about done.

Lyby, Hello. Sweatpants are totally fine - you need pants that allow you to move about freely. For your top, you want to make sure that it is fitted somewhat. If you are inverted (or even in a basic "down dog" position) a loose shirt will bag around your shoulders and get in your way (and expose your stomach). Hope that…

thanks to you both!

That really is the only macro I keep an eye on.... I work hard to get 100 grams per day. If less, I will add a protein shake or steak to get it up.

Very interesting - thanks for posting this. I am glad I kicked my coke habit years ago. Now, if I can just replace ice tea with water then I would be golden!

I also make up recipes depending on what I have on hand. I love, love, love canned fire roasted tomatoes. To that, I add taco seasoning mix, corn, rice, chicken/beef and onions. If I am close to my calorie goal I leave out the rice. Or: fire roasted tomatoes, 1/2 enchilada sauce, 1/4 cheddar cheese and shredded chicken.

I used to be a coke addict. At least 4-5 a day. I had to stop cold turkey. After about a year or so without it, I was out for pizza and I thought.. why not? It tasted so disgustingly sweet I almost spit it out. Never have looked back.

I love this! 1/2 orange juice (or half water half OJ) 1/2 cup cottage cheese 1/2 cup frozen pineapple Sometimes I toss in a few frozen mango chunks. Protein: 39 grams

It has happened to me twice. Different people. First time, blindsided. He "pocket dialed" me by mistake... heard a conversation I shouldn't have. That was the end of my naivety. Second time, I knew. Very subtle changes in behavior. It felt horrible, but made me trust my instincts as they were right. I have never cheated on…

Planning ahead: I find I really need to plan ahead to meet (not exceed) my calorie goal and hit protein targets. Not having tempting foods in the house: This week I bought Kraft Carmels.... big mistake... I can't have just 1. Lifting heavier weights: I was afraid of bulking up so I was doing light weights/high reps. Now, I…

Use between 1-2 scoops - whatever is needed if I know I am falling below my protein goal (i like to get 120 grams a day). I mix with berries. YUM. Or Vanilla Powder and Oranges. I love "real" food too... I have a least on serving of chicken and beef in addition to the powder.

Thanks, I did not know this!

Thanks for the links to the videos. I feel good about my form - The owner of the gym spent two sessions with me to go over form for machines and free weights. I can't afford a personal trainer, Just trying to build a schedule. I plan to ask him, but wanted advice here from others.

Yes - thanks for that suggestion. I really don't like group classes - I really want the flexibility to customize my routine for what I need. I also dont need a class for motivation if that makes sense. I am just looking for advice on a general weekly schedule (what muscles to work and how often). Hope that makes sense.…

Sorry, to be clear - I rest less than a minute between sets. What I was trying to say in my original post is that I don't "putter around" and waste time - I try to be as efficient as possible. Perhaps more of a rest than that?

Thanks Sean and Chris, I will check those out!

Thanks for your response. Any recommended links or plans? There is so much mis-information out there and I don't want to just land on something after a google search. I am hoping that someone with experience can provide guidance.

GREAT JOB! :)

I can totally see a difference. I try not to get discouraged because according to the scale I have only lost 6 lbs in 8 weeks, but people are starting to notice the changes. So..... 10 lbs can make a huge difference. Thanks for sharing, I needed this today!

Great job, you look wonderful!
