  • I'm following all pros beignet routine and have the same goals as you. Maybe you could do Mondays and Thursdays both heavy instead of following the heavy, medium, light. Or do monday(heavy) Wednesday morning (medium) and Thursday evening (light). I don't know how well these two options would work but I would give them a…
  • I eat chocolate fudge cake last night. Gotta love flexible dieting :)
  • I made pitta pizzas a few days ago using weight watchers pitta breads. I opened them up and used half for each pizza. Mixed bbq sauce with tomato purée for the sauce. Put the cheese on then some shredded chicken breast. Came out pretty good. Made some homemade potato wedges to go with the pizzas. Only downfall was that I…
  • I'm following all pro's beginner routine (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/915909-what-exactly-is-all-pro-s-routine) I'm starting week 3 today and I am really enjoying it. I was looking into starting a 5x5 program but that did not suit me working out at home at I have no squat rack and could not lift weights heavy…

  • Anyone else notice an elephants penis weighs more than his heart? Haha
  • I lost 6/7lbs the first week of getting back on my diet. It slows down after that. It is usually mostly water weight that causes big losses at the start, but you are going in the right direction. Well done, keep it up
  • Thanks. I'm using it or tdee and see how i get on. I go between front of house and back of house doing a range of jobs in the resturant. Not sure how I would look in a skirt and blouse haha  think I'm more suited to being a waiter than a waitress. Thanks for the advice though
  • So many great replays on here :) its amazing. And don't feel bad OP, I'm 165ish, do between 4-8 hour shifts in my feet, in a kitchen or waiting tables and also do 1 hour strength training exercises. When I got on the exercise bike i done 5 mins before I stopped and it wasn't very fast (I hate Cadio haha) This post has made…

  • I don't mind them not weighing the same as they do now as its only a few mm. It just seems a Shame having all the weight and not being able to use it on my barbell. It's still ok for my dumbells but I have no light plates for my barbell. The lowest i have are 5kgs. Looks like the 3 options are 1. Sell new weights and look…
  • So I have done some research and my current set is 28 mm holes. Standard sets are 25 mm (the 90kg York weights i got) Anyone else had this problem with a set? How would I get around it? New bar and sell my 50kg set? Could the smaller plates be filed down some way? Seems like a waste just sitting there when I could be using…
  • I just have a bench with incline and a barbell with 60kg weights. I train with a partner. Makes it easier and safer for me. Our routine is Workout 1 Squats, flat bench press, incline bench press, bent over rows and tricep work Workout 2 Dead lifts, pull-up, shoulder press and bicep curls. We alternate between the 2 with 3…
  • I aim for for 130g of protien and 65g of fat, the rest is carbs. My current calorie intake is 2000 and I'm trying to loose fat/ keep muscle. I found a website that let's you edit your macros by the gram or 1% increments. http://karoshiethos.com/2013/08/13/javascript-bookmarklet-for-enhanced-macro-goals-in-myfitnesspal/…
  • Thanks for the advice guys. Il take it all on board and pur it to good use
  • I am trying to hit my macros. As long as it's not a big problem i think il be ok. Most of the time i do hit them but lately tuna pasta and the low carb low fat protien shake messes it up. Think I'm getting on ok. Thanks for the advice
  • Try fitness buddy. I use the free version but the paid version is about £1.70 (i think) and has a lot more. The free one also has a timer for rest periods. Comes in pretty handy
  • Thanks. I have the stronglifts app on my iphone so think I will start that :)
  • Good point hopefully I wont be waiting to long. Might start now and up the weight when I get it
  • I bought it used off ebay like that. Its a standard bar. Should do me for now. I think I will join the gym when I grow out of what I have. I will buy a 30kg set of dumbells soon with the smaller plates. Do you all recommend a program like stronglifts or a split routine with 8-12 reps?
  • Thanks mate, basically what I was thinking. Been a while since I was in a gym with a proper routine though so wanted some advice
  • It's not the starting weight but on stronglifts you need to up the weight 2.5kg every workout, which i couldn't due to not having 1.25 weight plates. Thanks for advice tho
  • You could set your cals to maintainance and then watch your weekly intake and make sure your 3500 under your goal ( if you wanted to loose 1lb per week) Hope this helps
