  • Hello, I saw a couple on two of the Elliptigo bikes when I was down in Arizona going for a bike ride. They looked very shiny and new so I think they just got them. The couple were older (in their 50s or so, and they were moving fairly quick for their age. I also have looked into getting a bike but the price seems a little…
  • Thank you all for the good advise. Yes, I love bananas so I try to eat one a day eventhough my calorie counter program (My Fitness Pal) tells me that bananas are one of the worst things to eat. Yes, I take vitamin D everyday. Yes, I warm up before any workout but I don't usually cool down with any stretching. That might be…
  • Thanks for the advise but they show bananas as one of the worst things a person can eat because of all the sugar I guess. I love bananas and still eat half of one every now and then and then give the other half to my two dogs.
  • That wouldn't work for me. I need sustance before I can work out. Thanks,

  • Hi Willy, Thanks for all the informtion. It does make alot of sense and your suggestions of eating fruit before a workout might be the solution. Presently, I eat an orange in the morning and an apple at lunch but by the time I do my workout after dinner, I sometimes get light headed. When I go down south (Arizona) I will…
  • Thanks. Starting to feel old now adays. I can't jog as long on the treadmill, can't lift as much weight and I tend to get light headed too often.....lol
  • I wouldn't eat it before the workout but maybe as a desert for lunch. So that would cause a crash in working out?
  • The toast with peanut butter would be do-able. I will try that the next time I miss a lunch and see if it makes a difference. Thanks,
  • I some how don't think my blood sugar is low due to the sweet tooth I have and lately there's been alot of extra sweets like chocolate cupcakes, banana bread and carrot cake in the house due to it being my birthday month( I tell my wife that my birthday has to last a month....lol). I find the days that I don't get a proper…
  • I've heard that before about the order of the food you eat. I usually eat my veggies first anyway because they tend to go cold the quickest. Thanks,
  • Thats a good idea. Now if I can only remember before I leave the house....bad memory....comes with old age (just turned 52 today)
  • Thanks. so it wouldn't do any good before a workout like give me more energy. I actually have 2 berners. One we just got 6 months ago. They're great companions and one even likes the treadmill.....lol
  • I use the protein powder from costco and its 300 calories per shake. I'm trying to keep my calories down but if it means I can workout longer, then I might have to sacrifice.
  • I use the whey protein powder from Costco mixed with water and strawberries.
  • Thanks for the info. So in your case, the calculations come out to 47. Does that mean you need 47 grams of protein per day?
  • Hi, thanks for the suggestion but I have had my glucose checked, blood pressure and a bunch of other tests and the only thing they came back with was a low sodium level. Told me to add more salt to my food...lol
