PHD candidate checking in here. I am adding you all now

Just start taking measurements. I recommend Hips Waist Neck Chest. Gives you some solid numbers to latch on to as you lose weight

I make a lot of egg and chicken based dishes. I get way too much protein just from that. Add in cheese/dairy and it is easy to eat those protein totals. I actively have to try and increase my fats to reduce the amount of protein I am eating.
-
I eat back a portion but not typically all of them. I have a HRM so I assume it is more accurate than any machine. But I try and give it a 20% or so window.

Operate at a small deficit. Belly fat is the most stubborn so it will just take time and be slow. Doing ab workouts will make it show sooner with less fat lost. Thats about all you can really do.
-
They are all only as extreme as you make it. Insanity, you will have down time almost no matter your fitness level. It is about doing what you can, taking your breaks, and then getting back in when you can. Same with p90x and others.

I just hit 215 this week, I would like to hit 205 by Christmas. Worst case I want to be sub 210 by the end of the year.

Might just be a plateau, you lost a lot of weight pretty quickly. Your body might also be combining that with the withdraw effects? Still making good progress dont give up hope. Did you adjust your calories for your new weight? Also how are you counting your burned calories? If you are not using a personal HRM I would cut…

Also the response to shortages to water and food are very hard to distinguish. outside of something like a dry tongue. When I am hungry or craving something my process is this: Drink a crap ton of water, does that make the craving go away after about 15 minutes? Have salt and more water, does this make the cravings go away…

When I was maintaining for a few months I didnt bother to count calories but made sure not to go overboard. At the end of the week if I was above a certain mark I would count calories and get it back under. Usually only took a few days. Rinse and repeat. More you stress about it the more difficult it is gonna be. As long…

cant spot reduce Only thing you can do is lose weight everywhere, eventually the gut will go away. Mid section body fat is some of the most stubborn. Good luck

Congrats, I have to renew in a few months so I look forward to putting a new weight on it.

Insanity is nice, I did two rounds back to back and it really did amazing things for my fitness. I used to ****ing hate running but thanks to insanity I can now go out at night for 20 minutes and get a good burn in without dying. Really good way to get some of those excess calories off.

Probably free time and boredum. Try getting out of the house(in a place that is not food orientated) and see if you still get the cravings. Also up your daily calories to probably 1400 or so.

From what I understand a lot of the salt hate is correlational not actually causal. Salt will make you retain water but drink enough it should get flushed out.

An object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. An object at rest stays at rest unless acted upon by an outside force It is easier to prevent and criticize someone who is in motion, creating, etc than to create and move yourself. In effect they are trying to be the outside force that alters your…

I was terrified of loose skin, but when I started losing weight it was not a problem, drinking lots of water(I get at least a gallon a day) and lotion every once in awhile and I have had no problems, and I lost 20 pounds this month.

I was able to cut down my 5k time by 4 minutes since the first time last sunday, I am going to see how well I can do today.
-
FT7 here, I got it because I wanted to get an accurate assessment, however since I have started using it I really like the constant feedback and reinforcement. I can look and see how much faster than normal my heart rate is beating. I can look at the calories and realize how much food I have just burned off and use that as…

Not at all. As long as your body is not falling apart any level is fine. However if you start feeling like you are having a really hard time getting going then step back a little and then start going again once you recover.

I always go HRM, love it so much.
-
Yep, I did that for about a week when I was doing 2-3 workouts a day while also trying to adapt to my first week of ketosis.......it was rough to say the least..
-
I have done both....At the same time so I would say that they are both different and very good in their own ways. If I had to choose I would do insanity first. Especially if you are coming from almost no exercise, it will help you build up a muscle base. Then if you want to continue p90x will really help you lose a few…

I weigh everyday first thing in the morning after going to the bathroom, but I am putting it in a chart with my macros as well as exercise so I can try and see trends in my weight as they form. For example one day I might be up, so I look at the previous day and see that my sodium was up, or my calories were way up, so on…

Anything related to the Xbox one, I already know I am getting one, just be interesting to see some games to look forward to other than destiny. Dragon Age 3 will be exciting. Gonna be too busy to really play as many games as I used to so the few games I get will hopefully be good.

I have number to give me an idea. I know the look I want to go for
-
Ehh, for a lot of people it is less about the nutrition more about the demon-ization of certain foods. That is the only way they can bring themselves to stay away from them. Trust me I am trying keto for a few months and those people get pretty ridiculous in their carb hate. However if that is what it takes for them to…

We still know next to nothing about how everything is going to work, what the game lineup is going to be, as well as anything else. But hey this one feature that I might not like is going to totes ruin it for me. Jumping to conclusions man AWAY!!!!!

Insanity will put on a good amount of muscle that will offset a large amount of the fat lost during the program. I did not lose a pound until the last week of the program then suddenly I dropped 9 The scale only tells you your relationship with gravity, not your body composition.

Sorry, my HRM tells me my calories so I dont know about the online calculators.
