  • This would happen to me . When a exercise is recognized by Fitbit, it automatically calculates your exercise and updates in MFP( considering it was consistent enough for the Fitbit to capture it). It so happened it would sync and update and without realizing I would key in the calories burnt too manually. So yes that would…
  • I had this happen with my Fitbit Alta couple of years ago. Sometimes restating phone would help or uninstall and install the app. And at times nothing worked. It would start syncing by itself after a while of being out of sync. It's frustrating when we aren't able to keep tab of steps, calories etc.
  • Exactly what I thought. If I was as thin as her, I probably would exercise just to keep myself active and not worry about loosing weight. OP - Girl if I had your body, I would enjoy my life lot more I guess. You don't know what you have :) I don't mean to discourage, but don't fret over something that is not a must. You…
  • Trying to get back to exercise and healthy eating after I had my second baby who is almost 16 months. Used to hit 15K-20k steps a day before me getting pregnant. Totally in love with my Fitbit but desperately searching for the lost charger 💔😣
  • I lost 23 lbs walking in about 3.5 months. I started with 5000 steps and went up to 15000-20000 in less than a month clocking in anywhere between 4-6 miles a day .But I did mindful eating. My calorie goal for day was 1200 (age/weight/activity level - everything matters). But I was lot less hungry after I started to walk on…
  • I am the OP. Fast forward 1+ year ... Lot changed because of my commitment. I did consistently continued my walking / added jogging, watched out what I ate and ended up loosing 23 lbs in 3 months :) And got pregnant with my second one. Another healthy pregnancy at 38 & a normal delivery. Now that the baby is 3 months old,…
  • Sorry to say, It’s hard but family sometimes can be pain the b*** Not that they mean anything but it’s just that they think it’s their right to say something regardless of whether you want to hear it or not. In the process they sometimes say things according to their experience which really doesn’t help rather annoy or…
  • How early are you Brooke ? I lost 22 lbs in total in one of my recent weigh-in and the following week I found out I am pregnant with our second one. I lost 7 lbs during my first pregnancy in first trimester and total weight gain was 23lbs for the last pregnancy. This time around is scary enough because I am just into my…
  • When I realized size L was way too big and had to ask for size M .. disappointed did not find the size but it was a bitter sweet moment
  • Your experience helps :)
  • Can you have a running motion on elliptical ?..i think running is helping me in terms of loosing weight but I am being advised against treadmill from a family friend... Having second thoughts after we decided to opt for treadmill.
  • awesome.. how long did it take ?.. I am aiming at 60-70 mints active hours a day. And with calorie counting / watching what I eat, i am down 16 lbs in 2.5 months..aiming for another 5 by end of the year.. Cheat Eat days are good in a way..u eat what u want & it makes you accountable. So keeps you on track :) I feel…
  • Thank you..I used to walk more..now I have "upgraded" to jogging..so with winter a finger tip away, I need something that keeps my intensity level same/high. Don't want to end up doing nothing because of pains if at all its true because of treadmill :)
  • One which burns more cals because I am aiming at at least 1-1.5 lbs a week. So an exercise which takes less time but more effective..basically where it can fit my schedule and yet be effective.. Iam a working mom, so that leaves me time only after 8.30-9pm when my family settles down for the day and its my time. But I am…
  • I exercise..especially like jogging for 30 mints at low intensity can actually add about 150-175 calories. That's what happened last night. i added on calories like crazy in hours before bed but had eaten less. so I was left with 150-190 cals deficit after dinner though. so I jogged for an hour and ended up adding abou 320…
  • 15 lbs in little over 2 months
  • Hurt emotionally and still do, felt and feel the sense of betrayal from the person I trusted the most . I was being selfless only trying to give but ultimately it meant nothing to that one person who meant the world to me. Not out of it but personally have grown trying to take care of myself more. Have lost almost 15 lbs…
  • Don't set too high of a goal at a time. It's overwhelming when we have too many things on mind. But when we calm down and take one errand at a time, its not only easy and fast but also satisfying. Its the same with weight. Set your goal to 1 pound a week or 2 if need be.. that helps. When you gain momentum, you can pick…
  • Fitbit basically gives your daily calorie expenditure based on your activity for the last 24-48hrs.. So one day you burn 800-1000 cals and next day you burn only 400, your calorie expenditure will remain same as the day you did 800-1000 calorie burn. Bottom line, watch out your calorie intake - I am 5'3 and my activity…
  • That's awesome. Today is one of those "feeling down" days. I am too tired to finish up my chores and hit the 10K steps and to top it off, I ate a high calorie snack knowingly because its one of my favorites. Now I am in the guilt boat. Was thinking of giving up today alone but I know if I do it one day, I will have a…
  • lol at jog part. We are on same page with that and the no of exercise calories .. sometimes it upto 800+ exercise calories. Good job keep it going. I hope I have half energy as you at 68 :)
  • If I increase my speed I should be able to do it in an hour. Right now I am doing closer to 7000 steps in an hour - about 3 miles Another 1.5 hrs for another 10K - hitting 20K most of the days. But most of the 4K- 5k steps out of 20K include running house hold chores/grocery
  • Will do that ! Thank you
  • Very active - because I am hitting 20000 + steps a day
  • That helps thank you :) yeah just that I need to be sure that when I am investing so much time and energy it shouldn't go waste because I was doing something silly unknowingly :-P
  • You are right. I am currently not weighing the food but whatever I am exporting into food log, they are all food from past which I had used to loose weight & I was successful back then :( with no exercise what so ever. Just counted what I ate
  • Posting my today's breakfast .. I basically had an apple and later oats with nuts and fruits .. so added them as single food. Infact due to today's schedule, I am 25% done with walking where usually I would be 10000+ steps by now .. let know if I should modify breakfast. I generally don't do both but had to have both apple…
  • I am actually happy. Anything for weight loss. Honestly If you look at my food log, I am not starving. Just eating the wholesome food. :) For the first time being aggressive is making me happy hahaha
  • Yeap aiming for 1000 calories in deficit. It's been little over 1000 so far due to my 20000 steps a day
