Because it is day 1 (another) but I know what I need to do - take control, persist, be accountable to myself and have a healthier lifestyle. I will record my food and exercise diary and I will use stratgies I know when I am stressed rather than using as an excuse to eat unhealthy food. Kia Kaha

Hi there decided to join this message board as it may work for me. Have just connected back with Fitpal after some time away , so will be checking in everyday Aim is to get my eating habits back on track & lose some weight and get back my fitness along the way I have really let things slip - I have just submitted my PhD…

Hi I also substitute for low cal sweet things ie gum or lollipops or weightwatchers or other low cal desserts for a treat. I often eat cos I am bored or anxious so am trying to train myself to stop and see if I am hungry (although I think those cues are not clear to me after years of food issues) and instead or reaching…

Hi there Well I am starting afresh today - as already Monday where I live. Sick of losing a few pounds an then easing off and letting it slowly return. Never find the exercise a problem just resisting the treats esp later at night. Have a goal not to eat after dinner for the next two weeks - starting today. Thanks for the…

Hi Well back on the wagon since the weekend; know I need to plan the weekends better as that is when it all falls apart. have a few things coming up that is incentive for me as a couple of kilos makes all the difference to my wardrobe range! using the children as my champions not seeming to help - have to remind them so…

Well keeping back on teh wagon - envious not oly of Florida but also summer as on other side of the world and in the midst of winter and winter blues and carbo craving!! Still - there's always an excuse ... am managing exercise and biking to work - even in teh dark - have set myself a strict rule to keep up one pump class…

Hi I too am getting back on the wagon - did really well with the pre challenge and then blew it from day 1 til now :( - self sabotage back again. So have printed off a wee chart for me to tick at home eachday (exercise and calorie counting) and am going to ask my children to keep me accountable - is beside their music…

Prechallenge has meant I can fit a couple of pencil skirts that were just that too bit snug before - increased wardrobe at no cost :)

Hi Well I have started as I am almost a day ahead being in NZ and the start of the dateline: Weighing myself on Monday, as I predicted I had a mini blow out yesterday - before i started but had been tryin gthe pre challenge and up til then good and definitely got me in the zone so back on track today. My pre-challenge was…

Still on track - have not counted for a couple of days but know that haven't blown it - exercise is a challenge as had snow & husband away so can't go to an evening exercise class try and do squats while cooking etc - lots of sunshine today so took the dog for a walk in snow :) Have a long weekend this weekend (do not live…

Really like the quote: manged to stay under yesterday and also preplanned Friday night so even with 2 glasses of wine still under calorie count - exercise helps. Also weighed myself which I hadn't done for a month and was dreading - had lost 2 kg even though not recording - although admittedly last weigh in was after…

Doing ok - survived getting home for very late dinner (9.30pm) as straight from work to school concert - but did avoid the biscuits on offer there :) Find challenges to the normal routine mean that I grab quick food which is generally higher calories. Depsite my best intentions rain has stopped me going out with the dog -…

Challenge accepted - exercise part generally easier for me as the dog gets me out there for at least 30 minutes - so perhaps borrow a dog for 30days or walk someone elses to get the exercise part ( you get to meet a whole new community of dog people). The challenge for me is committing to the food diary so am starting…
