I'm sorry that people are not able to speak their truth in the forums of MFP without people piling on. I don't think it sounded like a sales pitch, but like her story. I speak from a lot of experience having lost a significant amount of weight on ww plan and consistent exercise over three years while in menopause and with…

They are fabulous! Some are better for beginners while others are better for more advanced exercisers. There really is something for everyone in her fitness collection. Although I do a variety of work out now 6-7 days a week, her workouts were my mainstay for many months and what helped me become addicted to working out…

The REI site carries plus size workout clothing at fairly good prices. Nike plus size workout wear is available at Nordstroms (but they aren't giving that stuff away!). My fave place when I was larger and now is TJ Maxx.... They often have XL that fit 18's and sometimes larger for low prices. For really inexpensive stuff…

For me that would be great. I have PCOS, I have been working a program (that has changed over time) for 1.5 years. At this point, I lose .5-1 lb a week. Some months are better than others no matter what you do. What I am saying is that there may be a "cause" and it may just be how it is. I see posts frequently with people…

I couldn't deal with it, tasted like chewing wood to me. I usually have under 100 mg total carbs daily and use Nature's Own 40 calorie breads (9 grain, honey wheat, etc). Runs 18 total carbs (far less net carbs) snd 80 calories per 2 pieces!

Even for someone quite young, 100+ lb. loss is unlikely to result in "firmness". But don't let that stop you!

<--- (almost) to the left of Timothy Leary. Non-Judgmental regarding life choices and DNA determination, except those that involve cruelty and negligence of others (in other words, I am for the electric chair for those who harm the helpless, animal or human). Otherwise I am just full of freaking happiness and light and…

As you likely know, water gain is pretty common. I am at 2 weeks 1 day after a 2 week reset period. In the first 2 days of the reset/break I gained 2 lb. and over the course of 2 weeks "gained" 6.6 pounds. Now, at the end of the two weeks since, I have "lost" all but .6 lb and that is eating more than I was eating before!…

Although I have never tried this myself, I had a patient who was a retired professional ball player and coach and he swore by gallon milk jugs filled with water. And this guy was 80 and very fit.

I do step 1-2x each week and find that it's at least equal to a 12 min/mile pace (and usually more). Miller, Kathe F, and Manza are my favorites (I have others, but with some instructors the choreography is insane :ohwell: I picked up a step at a Play It Again sports resell store (w risers) for $30. Fabulous workout!

Don't know about what is best for cutting vs. bulking, BUT my mouth says Fuji, Jazz, and Pacific Rose apples rule (at least once daily, usually with low fat chipolte cheese or low fat blue cheese

I feel your pain! When I met my husband 10 years ago he was using flavored/sweetened creamers and it is hard to let them go. I have been using the sugar free versions for over a year and that helps a lot (if you are careful about serving size!!!). Skim milk and a sugar free flavored sweetener (as someone said above, like…

A recent article I read by another psychologist indicated that the recommendation was from a panel regarding space travel very early on (if I recall correctly, ca 1950's); apparently, they surmised that a human would need 8 cups of water per day in space. And here we are... LOL. If you are interested in the link, message…

I suggest running very quickly in the opposite direction. There are far, far too many humans out there who won't treat you that way ( and won't require you tell yourself that secretly they really care when they don't). You are worth more.... If you don't feel that now, fake it but RUN!

Thanks for sharing, a great resource!

Most of her DVD walks are 15 minute miles, a few are 12 min miles (5mph). Most are low-moderate intensity. So chart as the mph that matches the walk or alternatively use as low impact aerobics at x minutes (I don't include her warm up and cool down in those minutes for accuracy). I love her stuff, those are what got me…

Yep, me too. :drinker:

I use the fudge occasionally and they aren't bad (they revamped them recently and made them worse IMHO, but hubby likes them better so.....). If you can just use EAS or other protein powder and make your own you would come out better (cost wise and definitely taste wise!)

Dr. Oz also had a segment about magnets decreasing pain (and without me laying out why I know, let me assure you that is bunk). But it's my opinion, I wish you luck in whatever you decide.

Always assume that if there is a product that shows up that will melt fat (so to speak) it will lead on the evening news, all cable channels, be front page news across the country and be all anyone is talking about. If the diet/med/supplement/treatment isn't doing that, then it is not a melting fat miracle (that is, don't…

Thank you! Part dedication and part a happy consequence of genetics!

@rebekahheiner - you're a cutie!

He is correct, it is 2 pts plus (the confusion might be that it was 0 points on the old points program?). My husband loves this (he is now forced to eat more healthy and enjoying it) - I add a few dark choc chips on top and he's good to go!

I have to agree and disagree ....3 days is pretty stringent criteria IMHO. My mother has been very ill recently and I feel sure if she were in real need It would require enough time and attention that there would be time for little else. What about a very sick child? What about on vacation or a cruise, .... do you know…
