Just found this from a search I've been diagnosed with a DVT as well a week ago mine is at the back of my knee but pain like a cramp in calf. I got no swelling just mega cramp when standing. Now self injecting fragmin and on warfarin. Urge anyone with ongoing cramp to get it looked at

I keep logging and start again the next day also do not try and " catch up " in the same way I dont have a bit extra if under eaten the day before just eat to my goal each day I do keep logging though so can look back and learn more about my eating

thanks folks lol I have crohns so when its active sure ill get many steps in going to the loo without the need to drink more water :) what about the eat back calories I weigh 200 pounds is 300 to high ?

lol I lost 14 pounds at the start of the year due to a flare up of Crohns disease and I got the "whats your secret question" when told the I had crohns they unbelievable say they wished they had it too !!!! guess they really dont know what it involves :) If I could give it away would in a heart beat

I could not justify the price tag but want to up my step count have ordered a digicare dri which appears to be a chinese clone of sorts for £35 will report back when it arrives

its strange how different food groups affect crohn's patents in different ways im fine with gluten but what can totally cripple me is lactose have gone to rice milk and only eat lactose free cheese etc and seem a major improvement

I lost a few pounds right after used to joke was the weight of the stones in the bladder Problem is during recovery you get appetite back so log all you eat

Used to be like this split my day into 6 smaller meals so have " high tea" about 1530 all is accounted for its rare for me now to feel hungry all day

I'm on prednisolone which increases the desire to eat but MFP helps keep this on track

I was miss diagnosed with IBS for many years but have crohns Found during bad weeks have to eat very clean fish chicken and root veg works best for me No processed food in any way but diet seems bespoke to every one with this condition

thanks will go back and look again at what I'm eating part is the problem is that I'm in the mid of a crohns flare up and dairy and anything high in sugar or fat gives me pain right now on a positive note this condition has cured me off chocolate just associate eating it with pain now if i keep under eating will talk to…

Why not have a smaller portion if you home made and stay under goal ?

Thanks for the tip I'm finding MFP really useful just for tracking my food at the moment as have not been eating many cals due to pain but now on pred all bests are off

Eating smaller meals so far seems to be working for me already made note of some foods that make me bloated so taken them out of the diet

thanks for the input have just spoken to my IBD nurse and she says it can me beneficial to have smaller controlled meals and the smallest meal in the evening to not going to bed on a full tummy have split mfp into the 6 sections so wish me luck means im prob going to have to eat differently to my OH which feels really…

thanks folks Im still in lots of pain and have put 2 inches round my waist with fluid which im told is normal plan is to eat normal for the next two weeks need food energy for healing than get back on the plan

my take is that when you cook it, there will be some water loss so the cals per gram are increased

thanks for the advice I've been making sure I get near my limit for the last two days and now starting to feel better think the calorie drop together coupled with working nights this week was a major shock to my system weigh in day Sunday so that will be acid test I suppose
