I have an ongoing medial condition so sometimes I find it hard to reach my calorie goal
yesterday I only managed 1100

how do others deal with times when you are under I tend to just reset each day but wondering if I should just average over the week

you should average it over the week

the app has good charts that can help (eg you get an average consumption and a number over how many under your weekly goal you are over the last 7 days)

I always check on my weekly and do not worry about daily overeating if there are enough calories there in my previous 7 days

I often eat lower calories during the week because I know I'm going to want some treats on the weekend- many people look at the weekly average rather than the daily. As long as you are meeting your weekly goal you should be ok.

If you are consistently struggling to reach your goal, I'd suggest trying to add in more calorie-dense foods. Full fat dairy, nuts, peanut butter, avocado are good healthy options. A juice, smoothie or protein shake is a good way to get calories in without feeling like you're eating more. Hell, have some ice cream if you want! :)

I was in the same boat last week - barely hit 1100 3-4 days in a row. Don't sweat it. Just get back to normal when you feel normal.
