Sounds reasonable. I've had my bodymedia for a month. One thing I've noticed is that if I upload my info early in the day, the "estimation" that the BMF activity manager comes up with for how much I"m going to burn for the rest of the day is always way high. Especially if I exercise early in the day. That number is then…

I'm glad its working for you, that is great. I love your attitude too, its something I'm working on myself. I want to be fitter so I can more enjoy the things I want to be able to do.

Yeah hang in there. I seem to often lose like this. Nothing for a couple weeks then a few lbs. The fit coach must be looking at a very"recent average" to even say I am averaging 1.99 lbs a week since 8 lbs in 33 days is more like 1.6 lbs a week. I hadn't done anything different the last few days, same eating, same routine…

this might work if you thin it down some maybe with some milk...it tastes good though just more a dip than a salad dressing as it... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/555071-yogurt-dip

I just wish there were a way to fliter only the MFP entries (one without a star) so that when i look for unpackaged foods such as potatoes, broccoli, chicken etc I only get the plain entries.

I think when people say you might be gaining muscle they mean that your muscles are repairing themselves after a workout, as I've read that if your muscles are sore they are holding water to rebuild themselves, resulting in a temporary weight gain. In the long run you are better off to work out than you would be to avoid…

Hi there, I've had my Bodymedia Link almost a month now. I thinkg I know exactly what you are talking about. I don't think you can see it in the BM app, but if you go to the activity manager at the Bodymedia Fit website, and look at your calorie burn early in the day (after having updated it say after you get up in the…

I have started doing nerdfitness.com Beginner Bodyweight Workout. It doesn't look like much but I haven't been strength training and believe me, I am sore all over for two days after I do it lol. No equipment required (well you do need something that you can hold that has some weight to it, he uses a milk jug full of…

I'm not an expert by any measure, however I think the WLS works because even though the metabolism might slow down in response to a very low calorie diet, it does not go to 0. If you eat very little you will lose weight and the wls makes it harder to eat a lot. The "eat more" in "eat more to weigh less, does not mean "the…

I'm no expert and I might be misunderstanding. You say you have lost no weight until last week, when you lost 6 lbs? How long have you been at this? I see your join date was 4-26. And you only have 20 something lbs to lose. That is 6 lbs in 5 weeks right? Sometimes (for me often) the weight doesn't come off at a steady…

I like you

Is there a way to filter the search results so that only the MFP entries without stars show up. Trying to find onion or carrots etc is a pain sometimes. I like to use the generic MFP entries for things like this because it always has the "per 100 gm" option. I get tired of having to scroll through, as someone else said 25…

I wanted my mfp and bodymedia sites to match up so here is what I did. I decided I do not want to eat less than 1700 calories a day. Nor do I want to have more than a 1000 calorie a day deficit. On days I sit around and do absolutely nothing, I burn about 2200 calories. So bascially if I want to lose more than 1 lb a week,…

Looking forward to seeing the replies here as I'm in the same boat! I keep hearing about "Stronglifts program" and looking online at "power cages" and "olympic barbell sets" but its rather intimidating as I have no one offline around who knows anything about such things. Meantime I just started doing Nerdfitness beginner…

Having avoided scales at all costs for so much of my life, I find it an oddly liberating feeling to weigh myself a lot. I don't every morning but if i think about it and feel like it I will. I know its not going to go down every day, heck most days it doesn't go down but it doesn't bother me. I seem to often go stretches…

I just made these and they are great! I am sitting here with my two little mini pizzas. I really like this. Thanks so much for posting, now I don't have to buy flatbread etc for my mini pizza!

I like going to the grocery outlet which is a bargain store, and you never know what you will find there but they have some good buys often! So I saw these vegetarian "patties". I can't remember the name of them but they were NOT morningstar or any name I've ever heard of. It was the most disgusting thing. Gelatinous mess.…

For me it is best not to do that. I have done it and am often tempted to do that. When I do, it sometimes ends up with me being "behind" for a week trying to catch up and feeling pressured. Remember that your goal has the deficit built in so if you are setup for say a 500 calorie deficit per day, if you're in the red up to…

I'm so sorry there are jerks like this making you feel bad. I'd just ignore them totally, or possibly just smile sweetly at them, and know that over time, as they see you becoming more fit, some of them might take pause and actually learn something about overcoming obstacles. Years later when they have matured and have…

I just got a link a couple of weeks ago and was travelling right after gettitng it for 8 days without my computer. The battery lasted, I was going to charge it with a wall charger (which they do not recommend but I'd still do it). I didn't need to charge it, but I also do not keep it linked with my phone app all the time,…

I would love to join. I have a lot to lose and want to do it in a sensible way that I can sustain. Thanks!

I lost 45 lbs last year and then fell off the wagon and gained back about 20, but I'm back in the groove now and each time I fall and restart, I feel that my attitude evolves a bit away from the crash diet mentality and toward a more sane and sustainable approach. I now don't care how long it takes as long as I get there…
