Alot of people are lazy and just want everything handed to them on a plate in this world. At work, I used to get all the "Oh what's the matter with you, it's only a piece of cake" rubbish. I work in an office with a lot of people and it is someone's birthday nearly every week, so even when I'm maintaining I don't have a…

I am 100% English as far as I know, but have some distant roots in California apparently. Wish they were still alive, I really want to go there!!!

People assuming you have never been fat and make comments as to how 'lucky you are' to not have to worry and can eat what you like. They need a serious smack in the face with a reality stick :explode:

Sitting in the bath is really unconfortable and I notice my mattress has possibly seen better days. Yup, bloating after a meal sucks because you look pregnant! Wedding ring is spinning. I feel the cold more. When I was in the process of loosing weight, travelling down through the sizes I ended up getting clothes from…

30. I have always been slim, but lost the plot and got into a bad lifestyle and gained lots of weight between the age of 26-30. (3 stone to be precise). Got back to where I wanted to be, just before I got married in 2012 :) Have been maintaining since then, but got a little careless and a little do with the fact I…

I think it is good to have a rest day, from it all! I lost all my weight at a steady rate of 2 Ibs per week from having one day I can eat what I want and do no exercise. Worked for me and I think your body needs a break.

 I lost weight no problem and kept to my 4 cups of coffee and 6 cups of tea every day. With Semi Skimmed milk (and I like it milky), no sugar. I add in about 150 cals per day for it. Nothing that should keep you awake like coffee, keeps me awake so they can keep that theory.

What about eating lots of pasta and rice? I know they are good calories and carbs. I am trying to loose a few pounds before my holiday and they are my enemy for keeping my calories under control  But I love to make random dishes out of veg and chicken and it always wants to go with rice or pasta. It could work in your…

Exactly! ha ha good answer! The main reason for wanting to be the weight I am is too feel good. Not much to do with health really. If I went on a major health mission, then yes stopping smoking would be thought about.

Exactly. Once you have been weighing and counting for a while, you can then do it from eye when you go into maintenance.Has worked for me for 2 years. I have now gained 4 pounds in the last 2 months, but I know exactly why. So I am back to the counting until they have gone.

I ate 1200 and used about 150 through exercise. So that would mean the nett is 1050 I guess? I lost all my weight at 2 Ibs a week this way. So I agree specifying the Nett or Gross is important. I also allowed myself a treat day once a week, and yes I made the most of it :)

I have always been one to skip breakfast most of my life. But I have been forced into it now (due to medical issues) but I can't face it for several hours after waking. I wake up at 7am and eat breakfast at 10ish (sometimes 11), then lunch at 1 and dinner at half 6. The worst time for me is afternoons, especially at work.…
