The best luck i've had has been low carb diet. If you take metformin that pairs well with the low carb and gets things moving slowly but in the right direction.

So if i'm trying to lose weight should I not be doing any resistance training? Everyone always says you need muscle to burn fat and you should focus more on weight training than cardio for this. HRM is definitely the way to go. My normal reading for 30 min. is 250 calories.

I add it as 20 min calisthenics and 200 calories. I see between 193-220 depending on how hard i've pushed.

Don't give up. I'm not sure but I think 5 stones is equal to 70 pounds? That's about what i'm trying to lose. I add it as 20 min of calisthenics. I wore my HR monitor a few times and the average was 200 calories burned. I'm on day 5 of level 2. I didn't check what level 1 was on my HR monitor.

I love my Polar F6 but I don't know if they still sell that model. The newer ones all seem to have blue tooth which is a plus.

I definitely feel like MFP is keeping me motivated, even when i'm not seeing the loss. I love the feeling after entering my exercise for the day.

Ugh it's so frustrating! I'm eating well, i'm working out twice a day and i was stalled on the scale for 3 weeks. When it finally did move it was only a half pound. Do you take Metformin?
