No loss :(

Hello,

I have been under on my calories every day last week and exercised everyday but i haven't lost a single pound. What am I doing wrong? I need to lose 5 stone by the end of this year and i'm motivated to do it but its a little discouraging when I see the scales haven't even moved! Could the 'time of the month' stop me from losing weight?

Any help, ideas, tips would be appreciated.

    you need 2 things for weight loss... a reasonable caloric deficit and a LOT of patience!

    you arent doing anything wrong... you just need to keep at it for longer than a week!

    Don't give up. I'm not sure but I think 5 stones is equal to 70 pounds? That's about what i'm trying to lose. For me if I didn't see instant loss up front I couldn't have stuck with the first few weeks. I chose to start with 2 weeks of a low carb diet. I did a mix up of Adkins and south beach. Its a quick 10lbs to help me want to stay on track. After seeing that weight off the scale it made getting to the gym easier to stomach.
