I just got a bike for myself and one for my wife. We love them. Its a great no impact way to add extra cardio to your day. But with your conditions it really sounds like it would be a unsafe investment.

I try not to eat a couple hours before I go to bed. Mostly so I'll be hungry when I wake up and so digestion doesn't affect my sleep

Poor mans version. You dont eat enough body goes into survival mode. Stores whatever it can. Weight Gain. Anorexics by pass this to the point their bodies must break down body mass just to run normally.

Good advice. Make sure you warm up before doing weights and the Bonus is once you go from weights to cardio your heart rate will already be elevated so you can start burning calories quicker

Why not go to your high school. even though its summer there are plenty of athletics going on during the day time hours use that time to run and if you shy about it who cares your goin to look better when school starts anyways right?
