You may even try a chair exercise where you sit up straight in a chair and bring your knee up towards your chest without bending. May add ankle weights to your ankles as more of a challenge as you progress. Hope this may help. Ice your back also. Back pain is no fun I know. Good luck on your journey.

I didn't have student loans so I don't know if that would make a difference but I consolidated my debts that had interest into one by getting a consolidation loan through a credit union. This was awhile back so I don't know how things are now. Hope that helps.

When you run your first run your adrenaline is pumping and you go longer and faster than usual. Know several people including myself that set a PR when they ran on race day as opposed to just a normal exercise run. Try not to be so hard on yourself. You don't have to do this for anyone but yourself. Set a PR time for…

Yes and I married him. Best husband and father to not only his own children, which I call my own, but mine also. He treats them all as if they were his. I was also divorced myself.

Your welcome. It explains why I feel the way I do after eating certain foods.

I have seen them but haven't tried them yet. Hummus is actually really simple to make so don't be intimidated. Also great idea for the ranch mixed with yogurt. Will have to try that.

Both times when I sprained my knee my PT had me do strengthening exercises which included thighs, hips and glutes. I had pain awhile after not doing PT anymore and once I started working out, strength training, walking and running, the pain went away. Not saying this will work for you because I don't know if there really…

Thanks for sharing your story. It takes a lot of courage to speak out to total strangers and ask for help. I think I can speak for everyone on here that WE are here for you on your journey. Its not an easy journey but you can do this. Also if you have a setback just get right back on your LIFESTYLE change (not a diet) and…

Thanks. Going to check it out.

You can do this and what will change on the inside is how you feel. You will feel so much more better about yourself than you do now. Good luck on your journey. It is life changing in a good way.

I am 5'1" and when I started a little over a year ago I weighed 165. I am now 134. Seem to be stuck at a plateau now. I am content with that however I still continue to try and get to my goal of 125. Good luck on your journey. You will feel so much better in the end so keep it up.

Seeing old pictures of myself. Also being diagnosed with premature ventricular contractions AKA extra heartbeats and leaky heart valves. Dr said it is nothing to worry about but I can't help but think my father had a coronary heart attack in his 40's, my brother was born with a hole in his heart and died at 28 from heart…

Sounds amazing. I hate having a whole cake around cause it is too tempting. So nice to have this recipe to make as a dessert without having any leftovers around to tempt me...lol. Thanks for sharing.

When I first started my diet or as I like to refer to it as "life change" I was working out 3-4 days a week and eating 1200 calories a day. I didn't eat back the calories I burnt. I didn't lose weight for about 2 weeks. When I did finally lose it was 3 pounds overnight. I say overnight cause I had weighed myself the day…

Had a volunteer from a catholic church at the health and rehab facility that I work for tell me how good I am to the people there and how he can see how much they appreciate me. Always feels good to know your appreciated for the hard work you do.

Great idea!

I wouldn't let it run for more than 5 minutes after working out. I could see it not being right by allowing it to run for longer than that.
-
Thanks for the replies. It takes about 5 minutes for mine to get close to normal.

You look great. Keep it up!!

I would think it would make it a little difficult breathing. I remember when I got married my wedding dress making it a little difficult to breath so why wouldn't the strap. Also was it you that was just running with a cold? That might be part of it too.
