I love my Turbo Fire. I just wish it came with a babysitter because both my kids have gotten near round-house kicks to the face :-P I've lost SEVERAL inches in the just first month and there are enough different workouts that you don't get bored and Chalene is so much better than Jillian

This will be my first 1/2 marathon too! I'm so excited and have already started working on my Ariel costume

I've just started Turbofire (I'm on week 2) and I love it! I'm only moderately fit (used to run up to 9 miles a week before I got plantar faciitis and had to look for another workout) and I can keep up with it ok. It's a real challenge though but not in the "OMG, I can't do this!" but in the "Wow, what a great workout!"…

I agree with this! Find a Stroller Strides class in your area. It's a great way to get a workout and meet other moms/kids. I got a Baby Trend Expedition stroller at Babies R Us for like $130 so it was very affordable and it's a great jogging stroller if you want to start jogging.

it only takes like an hour to charge so I charge it as needed when I'm on my computer. I have the One and love it

I use my fitbit one to monitor daily activity/steps and my Polar FT4 for my workouts.

Was that on a newsfeed? I ask because I used to log breastfeeding at 500 calories and not put a time and it would add to my exercise total. So I could burn 400 running and it would be added to the 500 to get 900. Otherwise - sprinting uphill from zombies might be the only way that would be possible

Your stretch marks have practically disappeared! This gives me so much hope :-) Great work!

Going to have to try these!

I'm starting tomorrow too!

my mom loves her water aerobics class

Wow, great job! This is very inspiring since I would love to get to that point. Totally need to work on my biking first! Keep up the good work :-)

my thoughts exactly

Good job! I'm doing my training with two kids in a stroller so I know how much harder that is! I probably won't do any races with them though because I want a better time ;-)
-
Oh yeah, I get a lot of "go fast!" from my 3 year old. It's nice when they both fall asleep though. The baby does it pretty much every run. I figure if I train this way it should be really easy when I do the color run in May without them. I wish MFP had an entry for running with a stroller though. I have to be burning more…
-
I just signed up for a color run too! Mine is in May though so I'll have time to complete the program beforehand. A friend of mine did this last year and said it's a blast so I'm excited for it
-
wow, good for you!
-
I'll have to keep this in mind....

do you have good running shoes? When I was first starting the Couch 2 5K, I would run out of breath and just be worn out at the 60 second mark. Actually, I took 3 weeks to do the first 2 weeks of the plan. Eventually, your fitness keeps up with what you have to run. I remember being worried about 3 minutes of running and I…

Couldn't agree more! Keeps the breastfeeding boobies under control! My only problem with it is it has to be hand washed but at least it should last longer this way.
-
Yeah, I'm counting it as "cardio". I only nurse him 1-2 times a day now though so I'm guessing it's like 100 calories? "They" say you burn 200-500 calories breastfeeding.
-
Hi! I'm a new(ish) momma too (my boy is 18 months). I see you like to run 5Ks. I just did my first one this past weekend and it was a lot of fun. I haven't gotten quite into the board life of MFP but I've been using it for a little over a month and I really like it! I've been running about 9 miles a week - how about you? I…
-
What a great thread! I'll be running my first 5K next Saturday and I'm nervous and excited too. Plus I'll be pushing my munchkin in the jogging stroller so I'm a bit nervous about that too (even though I have yet to run without him). Good luck on your 5K!

LOL @ "Ta Ta Tamer" I also love the Goddess bra...it's not on the list but here's a link http://womens-sports-bra.net/goddess-sports-bra great even for taming the ta tas of a breastfeeding mommy
