Thanks all! I do carry a cooler with me for water and such. I started out carrying protein drinks because I can drink those while driving rather than have to stop and scarf something down. My route is mostly rural so having to stop to eat cuts into what’s already a lot of windshield time. The past week or so I’ve gotten…

Love my walks! Never know who I'm gonna see

Did 6.5 miles today. Met this guy along the way. Had to snap it fast lest he be camera shy lol. For those who don't know, he is a red tailed hawk. Biggest one I've seen in some time. Well that or I was just a lot closer than I usually am lol. Anyway, happy Sunday all!

Hi all! Hope everyone is having a fantabulous weekend! Been out of touch for a bit so thought I'd check in. I'm still faithfully walking (though I have added some other routines as well). I took a different part of the trails today and thought I'd share. I learned some things as well as was reminded of some things that I…

Hi all! Cardio: Walked a total of 3.44 miles 59:41 Upright Bike at the Gym 3 miles 15 minutes Strength: was my intention at the gym this morning but there were more people than normal and I let my self-consciousness get the best of me Assessment: learned I don't do as well in the morning as I do later in the day when it…

Thanks @ninerbuff and @luluinca that helps. Cardio: Walked the trails 1.83 miles 32:34 minutes avg pace 17:49 min/mile (including some monster hills) Strength: Soon Assessment: Much better today. Pretty much back on track as far as calories. Just need to work on balance and of course get my sodium under control.

Sunday Share - I actually joined a gym yesterday. I've been mainly walking local trails but the weather here tends to get rainy and nasty this time of year so I didn't want to be left without options (yes I know there are always options) if and when it does.

Hi all! New to this group. Cardio: Treadmill 0.75 miles 15 minutes 106 calories Bike 3.5 miles 15 minutes 103 Strength: not quite there yet; I need to work on my upper body as I have 0-Nil strength there Assessment: Usually really good at staying on point (except for yesterday). Sunday Sharing - I'm 47, 5'4" and when I came back to MFP at the beginning of September I weighed in at 239.8; not my heaviest but definitely not where I wanted to be. I have a grown son and 3 beautiful grand daughters that I would like to see grow up. I just finally decided enough is enough. So here I am. Monday Check-in…

My Saturday success is the fact that I've had a rough week and the last couple of days has been devastating for my entire family but I haven't quit. And while the devastation kept me from my trails yesterday, today I got right back on the horse so to speak. We're still here. We're still whole! We're still moving forward!!!…

Thank you, and I am. I know it isn't gonna happen overnight but it will happen. On a side note, I work in long-term care in medical records. My job includes data entry so I deal with coding and such. I find it hilarious when talking about WHO how many people think I'm referring to the band.

Sunday Sharing: A little bit about me - My motto has become "there is no middle ground". For me this holds true because I've decided very recently that I'm either going to shape up OR I'm going to die. Melodramatic? Maybe, but to understand (and I'm sure a lot of you do) you'd have to know where I come from. I've always…

Friday Fitness: (late I know) I started walking the day before Labor Day and haven't stopped. Started out small, a little under a mile, and gradually working my way up. Even had some friends from work join me. This past Tuesday we were able to get a little over 2 miles. I am trying to incorporate strength training as well.…

Thanks for the reminder as I am suffering with a similar TT except for mine is the consequences of a decision already made and carried out. I am my own worst enemy when it come to such in that my mind is like the instant replay on a major play going over and over examining every aspect which is pointless because it's done.…

@jolive7 thanks! I split it up, doing some in the morning and then some on my lunch break a little after noon. But we also did an evacuation drill at work around 4 and actually evacuated all of our residents (on a side note I counted that as part cardio and part strength

Ok guys, question. My calorie goals for the day are 1340. I am at 1248 with 502 exercise calories. Is it best to always reach at least the minimum? I know you shouldn't go below 1000 for nutrition reasons but am wondering if that plays a part in the base goal as well. The reason I'm asking is I'm just not hungry and I…

Tuesday Goals - My goal this week is to get a bit more variety in my diet. Last couple of weeks was really tight budget wise so went with the basic go tos - chicken, frozen vegetable and the like. Another goal is to invest in a crock pot. What can I say? I'm easily entertained lol.

Monday Check-in: I'm down 5 total since I began September 4. Whoot whoot! Also I've discovered that the city where I live has many many walking/hiking/nature trails so I've been taking advantage of those as well coming in at a mile and three quarters yesterday.
