  • Okay....let's rephrase that sentence about people not being judgemental towards others who choose not to have tattoos (me). Seriously, people raise an eyebrow at me when I tell them I do not have any tattoos, nor do I plan on getting any. Then the questions start....why? Are you against tattooed people? Then I get the…
  • I can't stand eating just egg whites--they're a bit liquidy to me with hardly any taste. I eat them whole, scrambled up with onions and peppers. I'm SO glad the research has shown that whole eggs are better for you with more nutrients!
  • I can understand as a single mom of three how hard it is to work all day and how easy it is to throw some processed stuff in the microwave or oven for us all. Please do not underestimate how hard it is to have children and work. I KNOW it's hard and mentally draining and sometimes when we're emotional eaters, we turn to…
  • You're not the only one who cannot stand looking at her face. I have purposely got other workout videos, etc because I'm not motivated by hardcore, mean catty trainers. Some people are, but I'm not. I can't stand her. I thought I was the only one ;)
  • OP, I agree with you that SOME women tend to revert to loving their little drama and having such insecurity issues that they need to 'take' someone's boyfriend to give themselves 'attractive' points. I know a few women like this who actually admit that they go after married men or boyfriends! Some (note that I'm not…
  • SERIOUSLY??!!!! (BTW...thanks for asking what *kitten* was. I felt stupid enough to ask what 'bump' was when I first got on here. Thank GOD I didn't ask what *kitten* was on my newsfeed hahahahaha!!!) Thanks for thinking I look like a movie star/model. My self esteem points just skyrocketed. But seriously, get a life.
  • Feel free! I am ridding myself of my post-divorce weight gain, so I feel your pain! :) Friend away! Good luck!
  • Peanut butter, turkey pepperoni (only Hormel, because that tastes the best!), nuts, greek yogurt, cheese, bacon :)
  • I'm 42 and I have 28 lbs to lose. I've already lost 12 on here, so it's a good start! Tracking your food is a wake up call! Add away, anyone who wants a friend! :)
  • Look into New Rules for Lifting for Women! I just started that and I hope it helps the 'bat wings'! LOL As for me, I'd look at the muscular women and take their advice. Clearly, they're practicing what they're preaching.
  • I do not believe any of the stuff saying it gets your metabolism going. I find when I eat breakfast, it's just extra calories, even if I eat protein. Therefore, I don't eat breakfast during the summer (I'm a teacher so I don't work then). However, during the school year, I will make myself eat something, since I don't have…
  • ^^^^^^ This is what I do! Exactly! :) ^^^^^^^^^
  • Trust me...even if you live only 1.5 hours away from each other (like my boyfriend and I do), it IS a long distance relationship if your main communication is by phone/email/Facebook, which it is for us. You have to be more of an independent-minded person to have it work for you, I believe. Some people need someone around…
  • To me, it's a total waste of time separating eggs into yolks and egg whites...especially when eggs are so filling and so healthy for you. The yolk is the healthiest part. Yes, it's 70 calories, but isn't that better than spending it on a non-filling bagel or cereal? I eat my eggs scrambled or devilled. YUM. Egg whites…
  • There is nothing wrong with Christianity, or Catholicism. Yes, back in the Middle Ages, there were atrocities, but usually you find that with other faiths as well who border on the radical side of their practice (today's radical Muslims?). I say Happy EASTER. I don't get into the whole "Ressurection vs. Easter" debate. I…
  • I loved turning 40...my children are a bit older now and I can do things for ME at this point! I'm getting back into shape and I feel really good about where I am in life compared to when I was 30. It's just a number...age is in your head and how you live your life (I like it when people tell me "Seriously? You're 42?!")…
  • I agree :) I'm in the minority since I don't have one, and I like it that way :)
  • Booooooo.....I wish I could look like her in the before pictures LMAO She looks all plastic and no substance. What a role model for women (sarcastic font) Shape will not get my business. I agree with an earlier poster--Woman's Health is a great mag to read for real articles and healthy trends. :)
  • http://www.health-calc.com/diet/energy-expenditure-advanced Go to this website and you can calculate both numbers for yourself. :)
  • I'm 5'1" and my starting weight was 159 lbs (size 12). I'm now 147 lbs (size 10 and sometimes 8). I have a booty, so I have bigger pant sizes than most of you at this weight ;) I'm hoping to get to a size 6-8 at 125 lbs! I don't think I'll see size 2-4 ever again hahaha :)
  • Count me in! I would love to lose 9 lbs by April 1st. Not sure if this is doable, but I will see what happens (I'm at 149 right now and would love to see 140 before spring break...then I'll be halfway through my weight loss!) Good luck everyone! :)
  • Forum or group....doesn't really matter to me? 5'1 and 149 lbs....looking to get to 125! Please add me as a friend. I love to hear from similar cases during this weight loss journey of mine :) Melissa
  • I know someone who smokes it and it keeps their weight off drastically. Somehow their metabolism is sped up? It's also a great way to alleviate depression, cancer symptoms, and headaches. Too bad that alcohol is legal, but a medicinal drug isn't? Oh, well...
  • Me too! Luckily there are some good lo cal things on there...but it is an addiction! (Pinterest) :)
  • 5'1!!! Anyone needs to have a shorty for a friend on here, please feel free to add me!! It is much harder for us to get the extra weight off than taller people, and it shows more ugh!! Support would be gladly welcome! I'm at 150 and have already lost 7! Yay :) Looking to get down to at least 130-125ish range. Any…
  • I am losing my first 10 lbs (I need to lose 30) without exercise. I need to make my portion control, drinking water and better food choices a stable habit before I add my next big one, which will be exercise. I have lost 7....only a few more til I add some type of exercise to my daily regimen. Wintertime in Michigan is…
  • I looked down for a bit at the time and saw her move, but I wasn't as freaked out as I could've been. NICE ONE!!!
  • :flowerforyou: I'll go in! I'm 5'1 and 154 lbs today. I would love to be 148 lbs by Valentines Day! We'll see what happens. I'm having a REALLY hard time getting below 153, so this will be interesting. Melissa
  • I'm looking to lose 30 lbs and I've been trying ever since my eight-yr old was born haha :) I'll friend you!
