  • Awesome work, and great dedication putting yourself first for that precious time each day!
  • I'm in!
  • I'm on it!
  • You did an amazing job on your weight loss and those pictures really show that all your hard work paid off!!!
  • You look GREAT!!
  • I did it for 5 weeks, and then had to stop because I injured myself on the plyometrics (jumping) routine. Though I lost very little weight, I lost several inches. Now that I'm healed I've been using the Bob Harper Inside Out Method and have had great weight loss results, but I plan to return to the P90X once I get into the…
  • When I started yoga I was shocked at how not flexible I was, but after the first two months I suddenly realized one day that I was doing really well! It was probably just a few weeks to gain some, but it was the day I leaned forward and could put my hands flat on the floor that caught my attention. Oh, I was going to yoga…
  • Sometimes after I workout, I'll comment on my workout to say more about it. Also I'll make notes most days about what's happening to motivate me or what I'm struggling with. Maybe try that to help others to motivate you in the manner that helps you best!
  • Are you using a heart rate monitor to make sure you're working out in your target range? An hour on a machine below target will generate fewer calories burned than at target. I'm 5 ft 1 and have a set goal of 1200 calories and weigh 149.8. I never eat more than a couple hundred of my workout calories (I think MFP over…
  • When a product makes you break out after 2 or 3 days, do you keep using it or stop? I ask because any time I switch products I break out for about a week, then it stops. I'm using Neutrogena face cream now and like it. I used to spend a lot more on Shaklee and loved it, but decided to save money and switch and really have…
  • It all depends on your life. I'm a stay at home mom, and during the weekdays I exercise when the toddler naps and the other is in school. Often the weekend will go by and I don't get a workout in because the 6 year old is home and wants my one on one attention while her sister naps. Good luck to you!
  • Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Hi, I recently tried the Bob Harper Inside Out Method DVDs. They leave me in a pool of sweat like no other workout (including all the Jillian Michaels DVDs). Having a hard time to stop evening snacking, I was too, but I've tried something a bit unconventional - weight loss hypnosis. It's helped me to end night time…
  • Sounds like you have all the right reasons to lose the weight. If you would like an additional "cheerleader" to cheer you along the way then friend me. Like you I want to lose weight to be able to interact better with my kids and show them a good role model when it comes to eating right. I was pre-diabetic (happily I've…
  • Welcome to the site! Awesome that you and your wife are doing this together! I wish you both the best on your weight loss journey.

  • I have recently read an article by Jillian Michaels that said that you should always eat a small something 30 minutes before working out. I also had a nutritionist once tell me that if you get up and exercise without eating, you'll burn muscle as your body searches for energy, so that the most productive workout follows a…
  • Hello and welcome to the site! I'm finding this to be a super helpful tool, I hope you do to. The more you use it, the more helpful you'll find it to be. Make sure you add everything you eat and all your workouts and you're sure to see results. Best of luck on your weightloss journey.
  • I will snack while watching tv, but I take a measured portion with me, that way I can't over eat. Plus now when I first sit down in the evening to watch tv, I sit on my exercise bike to add in exercise.
  • I tend to late night snack even when I'm not hungry. I've actually managed this (not hungry) snacking with weight loss hypnosis. It's helped me with all my mindless snacking. Good luck with yours!
  • Welcome to the site. Make sure you set lots of smaller goals to help you along. Personally I'm always looking at the next 5 pounds. I'm 152.7 right now and my next goal is 149.9, then 144.9 and on an on until I reach my goal. In all I'll hit goal 12 times when I reach my ultimate goal. Best wishes on achieving all your…
  • I find once a week hard, so I do weigh myself most days. I find it pushes me, that I'm excited when it's down and if it's up I drink more water and add some exercise. Good luck to you.
  • You need to follow your heart and ignore the stupid suggestions that you need to travel and do all those things before you get into a serious relationship. My husband and I moved in together when we were 22 and married later that year. We have gone on many trips together and had great adventures. The thing about "doing…
  • I bought the Omron HR-100C Heart Rate Monitor for $32.99 at amazon.com. There's a chest strap and watch that work together and I've found it to be very accurate. You dampen the chest strap sensors and then put it on, you instantly get readings on the watch. You can set it to go off if you go above or below the desired…
  • I love my wii and use the workout games and dance games daily. The Xbox scans you so you will be more accountable, you can cheat with the wii since many of the activities measure only your arm movements. Since the wii has been out longer, you'll probably find more options with it, and probably at a lower price. Again, I…
  • Have you looked online? I buy my favorite German chocolates at amazon.com, so maybe you could find crystal light. My favorites are the raspberry iced tea and raspberry lemonade.
  • Starting this coming Monday?
  • Try a glass of the Plum Smart juice, it now has a light version too.
  • I've heard mixed reviews of this diet, but the one thing to keep in mind is that after to speaking to both my doctor and nutritionist they both agreed that it is impossible to get your body's required nutrients on 500 calories. Just be safe and speak to your doctor about possible supplements to insure that you are giving…

  • I find it easier to say no. I tend to over indulge otherwise, but if I do get a treat, I take the amount I want and throw the rest away so I can't over do.
  • I have a digital scale from Weight Watchers. It seems to be very accurate, and it can store user data for four people so that it tells you how much your weight has changed since last weigh in and since you began recording it. I don't remember what I paid for it, but knowing me it was under $30.
