You certainly exercised your mouth, Cher.

Can we all just read the fat-wank in the comments here and pretend it was all of us talking about it and then move on to a new topic? http://jezebel.com/5985524/youre-lazy-and-hate-the-gym-because-god-and-science-made-you-that-way

I probably spend at least half my day thinking about my next meal, lol.

Estimate 20-22%

I would bet money you're not weighing your food... how can you not eat 1200 calories?
-
Oh god yes they're worth it. Try microwaving em for a few seconds for maximum delicious.

[/quote] Totally agree with all of this. OP - it is admirable to get all the background info, but there comes a time to stop talking about it and just do it! :) Go pick that **** up off the floor!

Forever cutting and bulking crew checkin in. Always looking for gains!

I always fall back on old faithful, optimum nutrition's gold standard double chocolate.

It's impossible to say, and not really worth dwelling on, IMO. If I had to venture a guess, they'd put you about where you are now.
-
I am a little confused by your question. Are you asking why it is not possible for you to go through a second period of noob gains? Because life ain't fair :P I wish I could do it all over again too! You haven't slowed your future gains... they will be slow and steady, just like all the other 1+ lifters... keep your…

I try not to judge...but admittedly, watching people do squats on the smith machine makes my teeth itch.
-
You're doing great. Especially with your health challenges. Plenty of people would use those as an excuse to quit, and you're not...should be proud of yourself.

I work a 9-5. I work out 6 days a week, very occasionally before work, usually after, from 6-7. Only weight lifting, no cardio.
-
Noob gains are legit. You can put on more size in your first year than in the following 5. But you're not new - you likely have a decent base of muscle already built from your prior training.
-
Eh, they can all have their place, depending on who's using them. If I really had to pick one, I'd say the preacher curl machine, because either my arms are too short, my torso is too short, or something's not right here because before I got comfortable with free weights, I tried like 100 times to use it and it's just…

5 foot 2 checking in. My 10 month transformation is here: http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/progress-photos/mediumraw I would advise picking a goal - gain muscle or lose fat. A body recomposition is not impossible, but it is painfully slow and easy to get wrong, especially for a new lifter. I eat 1800-2,000 calories a day.…

I just re-read my post and can definitely see how it came off that way. I was actually agreeing with you, lol. I apologize, the magic of the internet did not convey my comment how it sounded in my head.

I don't hate them at all, I think they're great. Not sure where I mentioned hating them. ETA: If you're referring to my comment about "long boring threads" etc, I think we can all agree that the clean eating vs. dirty eating debates are tiresome.
-
And what did you think that your OP was going to accomplish? That you'd show all of the stupid "clean eaters" the light? That they'd suddenly realize how much time they'd wasted, and begin eating McDonalds? That you would swoop in as the MFP hero and put an end to these long, boring threads that are posted day in and day…

I can't help but feel like there would be a lot less "THAT'S NOT HEALTHY" replies if this post wasn't 1) here in this first place and 2) so brashly contrary and defensive for absolutely no reason Just eat what makes you feel good and F the rest. Christ almighty.

It sounds exhausting to care so much about what other people eat and think.

He said, defiantly. That's great for you. Some people don't want to eat pizza and ice cream, because it doesn't work for them. Does that fact somehow affect YOUR life?
