Welcome aboard!

Good morning, GoaDies.

First was years ago when trying on a medium size shirt in a store and realizing that I was floating in it. If only I had kept on course! A recent NSV was a result of cognition and the diet. When choosing a Goal weight this round, I chose10 pounds above what I really wanted. I thought the weight I wanted was unsustainable.…

List is always planned but if I see a good deal I will grab it. Usually 2 stores during senior hours. 2nd store has fresher veggies. Usually grocery once but sometimes twice weekly. My PLANNING affects both my eating and lifestyle.

I really believe that I have one or two triggers. And neither are foods - Tiredness and anger. Now these twins of the devil Provoke me no end to feed and thereby quench the feelings. Many times I fail and naturally am still tired or pissed after consuming wasted points. Other times I am able to resist when I mentally…

Good morning Goadies. TGIF!

You done good with food pusher by the lake. I am not so sure that I would have. And the common bowl? You better live with me before I would even think of that even prior to Covid. I don’t believe that I have ever encountered food pushers per se. I grew up in a household and extended family where food was love. Of course it…

I am learning this mantra prayer and relearning it’s lessons periodically. My vision apparently deviates from 20/20 frequently.. Serenity to accept the things I cannot change...aside from much of normal daily life, I cannot change that the foods I love most are high point items. I cannot change that without strict…

I usually try to preplan for true heat waves. They are rare in MA. I try to make menus that can easily be packaged to appropriate portions and reheated in the microwave. When eating at my Sister’s home on a caregiving night it doesn’t really matter at all since she does a lot of grilling and has ac indoors.

What did we each decide? How? I decided it was finally time to do SOMETHING about my weight gain. It wasn’t going to go away on its own. I knew WW worked and was more of a balanced Plan than others. What do we say to someone starting out to get them off on the right foot? Are you ready to start? Now? No is an answer. When…

Present. A balmy 70F outside with a high of 74F forecast for today. Bleh. First time in months I am in jeans and a light hoodie.

Reupped with WW and set my new Goal as 160 because I was completely sure that 150 wasn’t sustainable. Lost the weight and hit 160 as my Goal. Kept going. Made 150. Kept going. Let’s just say that my New Normal is my old High School weight - somewhere around 2-4 pounds BELOW 130. I am astonished. And happy. And hopeful that…

The New Norm. Not a fan of the word in general because most times I’ve heard it is with a resistant undertone from the speaker. They’re either whining or moaning about the amount of effort it’s taking to adjust or how unreasonable it is to ask them to change. Regarding my personal weight loss journey at least since January…

Good morning. Goadies.

I grew up in a Portuguese and French Canadian family where food meant love. Nightly dinner revolved around the dinner table, not the TV set. Food at times was in short supply since my parents were working class and sometimes on strike or between jobs. Dad was eventually totally disabled. And yet, food meant love. And…

Hope the topic and questions make some sort of sense. Posted just after3 this morning, so..... If not, try to answer to your own understanding. Or not. I will check back in later. Hopefully before tonight.

Here, but not for long this morning.

Great. Now I want 11 chips. 🤣🤣🤣

But read the article anyway. Meh.
-
I don’t need to read the article to know any food you DON’T eat will automatically reduce belly fat. 😆😆

Good morning, Goadies! Another relaxing day away from the oar. Ahhh...

I am unaffected by the region and change in weather, seasonal food offerings, etc. I like what I like and eat what I want regardless of season. On the whole, I am not an outdoorsman so the weather rarely affects my participation in outdoor activities. If I am lucky I go to the beach once a year. Before Covid, we would…
