Coconut milk or cream seems to be the go-to for people to put in coffee or tea. I switched to coconut milk in my tea in May when I did a Whole30 and LOVED it, even though I am not a coconut fan. I do sometimes have dairy now, but I prefer coconut milk in my tea over cow's milk.

I had griped about being "dumpy" for a long time. My turning point was when I told someone that they weren't allowed to complain about a problem that they would do nothing to fix.... then I realized I needed to apply that to myself!

I've been doing the 30DS (27 minutes) 3s/wk and jogging (30 minutes) 3x/wk. For me, I get my workout clothes ready the night before. When I wake up I have a glass of water, brush my teeth, get dressed, and work out. Afterwards, I drink a glass of water while I make tea and bacon and eggs. If time is tight in the morning,…

Sounds awesome! Do you have a recipe for it?

Using it as breading is awesome. My BF took some pike, dunked it in egg, then coated it in almond meal mixed with chili flakes. Then he fried it up in bacon grease... it was so good!

When I am back in civilization for the summer I hope to check out a crossfit club. I want to lift heavy and become more muscular, but I need to learn correct form because I am totally clueless in that respect. Then when I know what I am doing I can use the weights in the school gym here. The VH sauce was a one-off. It was…

Thanks guys. I have planned food for today and cut out fruit. As far as milk goes I have purchased 2% but I don't think I can get organic whole milk here. It's very isolated. Tea just doesn't taste the same with cream ;)

Thanks a lot, everyone! I started on MFP months before I found out about the paleo/primal lifestyles, so my macros (at this point) do reflect the SAD. Since I started changing my habits I have not been aiming for those numbers, just trying to keep my carbs down around 100. I will do some reading and tweak those in the next…

Ha ha the beer is DEFINITELY a cheat, but there is no more in the house, I have no vehicle, and the liquor store is 185 km away! Thanks for taking a look, Mike :)

Herbal tea was a godsend for me in university. I suggest a good strong tea, Celestial Seasonings has a Bengal Spice tea as well as Cinnamon Apple. I describe both of those teas as "beefy" Also you can put a little milk in them for creaminess if you like. I also found this recipe yesterday, planning on making them…

I am doing the 30 Day Shred as well. I do C25K on MWF, and 30DS the other four days.
-
Congrats on the success!! How do you track your 30 day shred workouts on MFP?
-
You can do it!! By getting your first trip back done, it will be over quickly, like ripping off a bandaid! It's really hard to get back into the swing of things after a few weeks off. If anyone does say anything, it should be "Good to see you back!" Anything negative has no place in a gym. Everyone's there for a…

What about your water intake? The week I started making sure I was drinking at least 6 c of water every day, I dropped 5 lb! Also, ignoring the numbers, how do you FEEL?

1/3 c quick oats with 1/4c frozen berries made with water. I measure it out in a little container, then add boiled water and let it sit, or tap water and pop it in the microwave. Even if it's in your lunchbox for a couple of hours before you add the water it's fine. I also like a hard boiled egg with some salt and pepper.

I count my wine, and usually only have it on days I have exercised - then I have "earned" it. I agree that if this is your treat and you are keeping on track with your plan, then if it ain't broken don't fix it! Cute that hubby topped it up for you ;) My boyfriend doesn't do that anymore, not after watching me diligently…

You may not lose the whole 21 lb in 7 weeks. Do you have a workout buddy? That may help get you closer to your goal. When I joined the Biggest Loser contest at work, I found that the week I started drinking 6+ c of water every day, I dropped 5 lb, probably all in water weight! Take care, good luck, and enjoy your trip…

I hardly eat bread anymore. I have cut down on cheese. I am battling with chips and trying to eat popcorn instead. There are no restaurants and no liquor store here, so not having that temptation makes things easier. Since joining MFP it has really opened my eyes to how many calories are in my favourite foods - I didn't…

Thanks a lot, ladies! Glad I'm not alone. I also agree that on days I am exercising in the morning I need to add a bit of a boost to my calories. I find that having fewer calories during the day works better for me because I have a schedule to stick to, and then in the evening I don't have to just eat a salad while my…
