My hubby and dr are trying to get me to gain weight, yet I eat 3 meals a day, a snack if I'm hungry, and dessert every night. My dessert is usually cookies and chocolate chips, but sometimes nuts or trail mix.

Yes, Ive lost weight without counting calories. I eat small portions at lunch, mostly vegetables and protein. My breakfast is usually an egg, maybe some cheese, and coffee. I eat the most at dinner. Whatever my husband cooks. It's usually meat or fish, veg, carb(rice, pasta, potato, tortilla). Sometimes cheese or sauce. I…

I use it in coffee, just a little bit. 1 bottle lasts me a whole year! I double brew coffee over ice, so it's pretty strong and can handle a little sweet.

I've been eating a flavored rice cake(apple cinnamon, caramel, or chocolate) spread lightly with peanut butter, top with sliced banana and light n fit vanilla greek yogurt. I also make a protein iced coffee, pour over style.

Sounds fun! Do you have friends who like to do those activities?

I ate a lot less bread and butter, cookies, chips....and ate more salad. I really like salad, so it was easy to make a basic lunch every day with salad greens, pickled veg, and tuna. When I needed to increase calories a little, I added a fruit as well. My dinners were also based around veggies and protein. Breakfast was…

I tried to look, but it says your feed is private.

It's not uncommon to have uneven weight loss. One week you might lose 2 lbs, anotheraybe 1 lb, sometimes you maintain or even gain a little. As long as your trend is going down over time, you are doing well. You have just started and many things can cause water retention, like swelling, extra sodium, extra workouts, etc.…

For me, coming from a similar height and weight range, 112 was what I wanted, but not necessarily the healthiest or most attractive. 120 is easily more sustainable and I don't get the "too skinny" comments. Find a healthy balance. A lot of people find that after losing weight at low calories without strength training, and…

Have you bookmarked them? If you scroll down to "Quick Links" there are options for "My Bookmarks" for those threads you have an interest or participate in and bookmarked, and "My Discussions" which are those that you start yourself.

Losing weight is all about being in a calorie deficit. So yes, if you're eating above maintenance level, then reducing your calories to under maintenance will result in losing weight. Using mfp was the first time I had lost weight successfully. Tracking your intake can be very eye opening if you've never done it before.

I workout first thing in the morning, so nothing. Just water. The workout itself wakes me up. If I lift after work, I might have an energy drink about an hour before. I usually do the powder kind from Walmart or true lemon and mix in a big bottle of water. It lasts me through the workout. If you want to go without, maybe…

There are other ways to get protein...beans, lentils, quinoa...

Open your diary so we can have a look. Being under both carbs and protein would mean that you are eating mostly fat. Are you doing some sort of keto diet?

Just do a 30 min YouTube workout everyday? I'm trying out growingannanas atm...

Light n fit greek yogurt. You can buy it in individual servings or a large tub. Pair with fruit. Recently, I've been chopping up banana (or strawberry/peach/mango) and mixing the fruit with vanilla greek yogurt, spreading it on a rice cake(apple cinnamon, caramel, or chocolate flavor). sometimes with a tsp or so of peanut…

No, it will not hold you back. You might see a slight increase at first, because of water retention, but that will pass. As long as you remain in a deficit, you will not gain weight. Strength training is (imo)a very important part of fitness and weight loss. Without it, you will lose more muscle as you lose weight and…

Pesto zoodles! My aunt made a tomato pie once that was delicious! I don't have the recipe, but I think we used tomatoes, basil, cheese, and mayo. Maybe you could find one online? I love roasting peppers and onions together

Cube the chicken and saute with sliced sausage and onions, add mushrooms if you like them. We like to serve it with barley cooked with onion mushroom soup mix Chicken curry: saute cubed chicken with a little coconut oil, season with curry powder, add lite coconut milk and frozen soup mix veggies. Serve with rice

Can you do your workouts with a fan and no shirt? Then...just embrace the sweat. Once you get used to it, it probably won't bother you as much.

Do you only have one dumbbell? The weight depends on your strength level for each exercise. You don't always lift the same amount of weight for each body part. As you practice, you will be able to increase the amount you lift. Do you have access to more weights? Have you looked at some YouTube workouts for ideas? These…
