  • I'm from Stratford upon Avon, feel free to add me :)
  • That's what I do at the moment, but would love the variety and expertise of a gym - i'm just not sure I can justify the cost, as much as I would love to! :(
  • I'm from Stratford Upon Avon, so maybe 20 minutes from Coventry, feel free to add me :)
  • I've just seen this thread, and coincidentally, am trying to decide which gym to join and whether it would be worth my money. There is my local leisure centre, which has a huge gym with all the latest equipment, free weights and machines plus vibration plates and other bits. This has a pool, sauna, steam room, numerous…
  • Hi, I'm in the same boat, trying to lose weight whilst cooking for a boyfriend who can eat what he wants without putting on any weight! We always eat together so here are just a few things we have: - chicken fajitas - baked bean lasagne - regular lasagne, i just googled healthier recipes to cut down on the calories. -…
  • Allrecipes UK is also a good site for recipes :) Slow cooker chilli is great and you can make a lot and freeze it. We have fajitas quite often, chicken breasts filled with cheese wrapped in bacon, or topped with mayo, cheese and breadcrumbs, baked bean lasagne, fish and veggies, homemade potato wedges (just par boil, chop…
  • On the cheese front i have cheese slices in my omelettes for breakfast - around 40-70 cals for one slice and its yummy :) and there are lots of lower fat cheese options, or mix cheese with light mayo so you need less - on jacket potatoes for example (or cheese and mayo on chicken is amazing!) I actually eat 10 times MORE…
  • I'm from Warwickshire, England - feel free to add me! :) Been on MFP since February this year and am battling the last 7lbs
  • So if I stay at 1600 a day MFP says that's a .4lb a week loss, plus get into a regular weights routine? Thank you, Any other advice would be great!
  • I'm glad its not just me that is horrified at having to eat so little again! I have started doing weights in the last few weeks, I will concentrate on doing them religiously a good few times a week. Thanks!
  • The reason it's such a small deficit is because I thought as you got closer to goal you had to reduce the deficit to continue losing? Thats why I increased from TDEE -20% to TDEE -10-5%. I'll take it back down and see what happen. Thanks
  • When I use a TDEE calculator online it says between 1700 to 1800 to maintain, that's based on being sedentary. As I said I do work at a desk. I also walk for 15 minutes in my lunch break and am up and down a bit during the day and on my feet for the majority of the evening at home...I guess that's why I thought 1600 a day…
  • Feel free to add me, my diary is open and i've been here since Feb too :) p.s. ignore the horrendous amounts of cake consumption this week, its not like that every week i promise!
  • I'm in! I have less than 20lbs to lose but could really use the motivation!
  • Hi, Feel free to add me - i've got the last 10 lbs to lose, and have lost 18 so far. Would love to have people in a similar boat for encouragement, and to give encouragement to! Feeling like the last 10 lbs will not budge, partly because I have really lost my willpower this close to goal! When I had the 28lbs to lose it…
  • I feel your pain! My office is right next door to the tearoom so it takes about a millisecond to get up and grab some sugary snack to munch on. We have cake for birthdays, sweets and biscuits when people get back from their holidays, treats that people don't want at home, homemade crumbles and cakes (just because!)…
  • You can also make "oopsie bread" I used this recipe: http://caloriecount.about.com/oopsie-bread-12-recipe-r197782 and made it with low fat cream cheese, but there are loads of recipes on google. I tried it at the weekend as i wanted to cut back my carbs and really enjoy them, very low carb and easy to make to last the…
  • Cereals - would eat them for breakfast dinner and tea if i could! Chocolate Ice cream - Could easily sit and eat a whole tub to myself. Pick n Mix sweets - This is the killer, literally can't go near them these days, just waaaay too many calories, fat and sugar and i know i would eat the whole cup in one sitting …
  • Thank you for writing such a fantastic post - so inspirational and such a sensible reminder!
  • I'm 5' 7", started off at 158 lbs, currently 144lbs, goal weight is 133 ish. Feel free to add me! :)
  • Definitely in the loving ice cream camp, could eat it by the bucket load. Feel free to add me :)
  • Anyone feel free to add me too - trying to up my calories gradually, and be more consistent, would love to give and receive support! :)
  • Thanks for your replies :) I guess I am just being impatient..I meant to add in thaat now i've returned from holiday i've upped my calories to 1600 daily which is closer to my TDEE-10% to try and make the transition to maintenance a bit easier, and because on days i exercise i had trouble netting enough calories, so…
  • Bump, would love some thoughts :flowerforyou:
  • I'm in Warwickshire, feel free to add :)
  • Thanks guys :) I think that's partly why i'm struggling - finding it tough to eat enough calories without eating white carbs or processed food. But am trying to bulk up my lunches for work as of tomorrow so that should help :)
  • I'm from the UK too if you would like to add me :)
  • I tried on all my summer clothes before packing them for my holiday (which is next week yay!) after assuming they would all fit the same as when i took them on my holiday this time last year. ALL of them are noticeably big - skirts that were tight when i bought them now sit perfectly on my hips, or are loose around the…
  • Firstly well done on your loss so far - good for you! I'm 5'7 and currently 144lbs and I definitely know how you feel! Always been bigger than my friends, and most of my family are overweight too, so when I started getting serious about wanting to lose weight and tone up, it got noticed. Now i get constant comments like…
  • So i should be aiming to eat back my exercise cals and netting around 1400 cals a day? Think its starting to make some sense now, thanks!
