Sorry - another TDEE/exercise question!

Apologies in advance for another TDEE/exercise question! But if anyone can help i would really appreciate it.

So, i started off on MFP's 1200 cals a day limit and eating back exercise, lost a few pounds, then got stuck.
So a few weeks ago i switched to TDEE - 20% so i have a 1400 cals a day limit. I did this on various calculators (inc Scoobys) and set it to sedentary, as i have a desk job, although i do go for a walk every lunchtime.
So with my 1400 cals a day limit, should i be eating back my exercise calories as they are not counted into my TDEE calculations? I try to have a few sessions on the cross trainer each week, plus a zumba class and some extra walking/running when i can.

Any advice would be gratefully received!
Thanks

Oh - i'm 5'7, 144lbs and would like to get down to around 134lbs.

It's my understanding that you don't eat your cals back, because it's accounted for in your TDEE. But, you're not sedentary because you're running and Zumbaing and all sorts! So maybe make it light or moderate activity, depending on how much effort is involved, than then *that* is your TDEE, to then subtract from

Please someone correct this if I'm wrong :)

Thanks for the reply...I would do that, but because i don't do a set amount of exercise each week - the only constant in the zumba class really, i wouldn't want to set my TDEE too high if i'm not doing enough exercise to account for it. - Does that make sense?

^^ This. When calculating your TDEE on scoobys your actually supposed to state your activity level INCLUDING exercise. You THEN don't eat back your exercise calories because scoobys automatically adds them back.

Since you haven't stated your weekly exercise you should eat back those calories.

So i should be aiming to eat back my exercise cals and netting around 1400 cals a day?
Think its starting to make some sense now, thanks!
