Madison, Ga here!

When I had mine done, I was told nothing strenuous for 4 weeks. However, this is not the best place to get advice. Please CONSULT your physician.

I am a product of slow weight loss. Over the last two and half years, I have lost 27 lbs. I feel great and I will continue to lose weight until I get to my goal. For me, I make small changes, which results in weight loss!
-
Ditto, you are not eating enough.
-
Update: Kept my calories at 1700 and increased my protein. Finally broke the plateau.

Thank you for your input as well. I am really not sure what to do. I am going to try 1800 calories with no increase in exercise. I will let you know how it works. If it doesn't then I start from scratch. Thank you everyone,, this is definitely a learning experience. Eventually I will figure it out, lose weight, and get…

Would you say even though I have a desk job, but work out 6-7 days/ week, that I am very active?
-
Okay, I shall try this. Will I stay the same for a while with adding on calories or even gain weight. What should I expect my first week of adding calories?
-
According to your information I should be eating 1950. It states my TDEE is 2480. 2480 - 80% = 1950. So I should increase my food intake to 1950?! Ugh, I am just completely overwhelmed with this information. I know I might sound stupid but there is soo much information out there.

You do make sense deksgrl. Here are my stats: I figured my information on Fat2Fit radio. Fat % is 31.4% BMR 1441 TDEE: Moderately active (3-5 x/wk) 2234 - 30% = 1563 cal or - 20% = 1787 calories Very Active (hard exercise 6-7 x/Wk) 2486 - 30% = 1740 calories Types of exercise: Walking averaging 35-45 miles a week at 4.0…

Oh and I am currently eating 1700 calories with 500-800 calories burned a day.
-
Holy Smokes that was a lot of information. My original post was to get input on my diary and questions about TDEE. I was hoping for advice about my nutritional intake and exercise to see what else I can do to lose the weight. I started at 1200 calories and exercised averaged about 300 calories a day. When I stopped losing…

Well alright then. I figured my TDEE is 2035. It said you can take 20-30%. So I have 1700, so I will not eat back my calories. I feel better and not so stupid. Thanks for you input.
-
Okay, so I was one those people that thought they should eat only 1200 calories. I have since upped them to 1700 after figuring my BMR and TDEE. But I am not sure if it enough. I am reading don't eat back exercise calories and then I read eat back exercise calories. This is all confusing. Can anyone look at my diary and…

I weigh weekly and measure weekly. I have only lost 5 lbs. since February, but have lost 13 inches overall. There have been many weeks that my weight didn't drop that much, but my measurements showed a change. It makes it easier on your confidence when you see a change of some sort even though the scales do not show it. I…

I didn't join this at the beginning, but I have walked a total of 49 so far.

I eat between 1400 - 1600 calories a day, work out every day, burn about 200-500 calories, and I have only lost 5 lbs in 3 months. I looked at my measurements and I have lost a total of 15.5 inches overall (4 in the waist, 3 in the chest, 3 in my hips, etc.) So I don't worry too much about the number on the scale but the…

I am not in your shoes, but what I can say is don't look at it as a diet but a Journey to Good Habits. Start by setting small goals and when you reach them make more goals. Try walking around your house for 5 minutes 3-4 times a day. Measure your success not only by the scale but by your measurements, goals, etc. Document…

This looks yummy. I think I am going to try this weekend. Thanks for sharing.

Are you retaining fluid? What was your sodium for the day and yesterday?

SW was 163.8 CW 160.8 GW 135 I hate to put a number on what I want to be when this challenge is over. I would say my ultimate goal is to lose weight and feel better.

Saw myself in a picture and was mortified at how much I had gained in my midsection.

I do Zumba core on the Wii and I like it.

My motto is don't set yourself of for failure. Make small simple goals for yourself, like I want to lose 5 lbs in a month, exercise 4 days a week, eat sensible meals, cut out the sugar. When you accomplish those goals, then you move on to the next goal. Experts recommend1-2 lbs a week. Try to look at your overall lifestyle…

I pack carrots, hardboiled egg, radishes, broccoli, 100 calorie chips, etc. When I get the urge, I snack on my snacks instead of going for the sweets. You can do it.
-
Welcome! You are going to do great. It takes hardwork and dedication. You can send me a friend request. I will be happy to support you and cheer you on!
-
It's okay to treat yourself once in a while. Moderation is key. Don't be so hard on yourself. You are doing great and will continue to do so.

I am a lab lover. Although, I have always wanted a boxer. Then again....I grew up having muts! I really don't care just as long as they are cute and cuddly. They have to be large breeds though, I want a lot to cuddle with.
