If I have challenges like this, I pre log my meals. Add the cookies, add your meals for the days and make it fit. See what you’ve got to work with. Those cookies taste so much better knowing you’ve enjoyed them and stayed within the goal you set. If it leads to uncontrolled cookie binge and I’ve been there, try not to let…

One day. Just today. Even if you fail, tomorrow you try again. Just one day at a time.

Continuous user of MFP for 4 years as a basic user. It really does most of what you need and want so don’t rush in to upgrade. I have upgraded this year as I’m using a meal prep delivery service now while they’re sending me lots of discount offers. I choose the meals and see the nutrition before selecting the meals. It’s…

I started a 42 day challenge on Jan 31st. Rather than wait til Monday or start on the 1st, I thought I’d just get going. Never did understand the ‘start on Monday’ thing lol. My goal was 6lbs and I hit that target yesterday. I’d like another 7lbs and that takes me back to my body weight in May (and deals with most of the…

Also worth checking the diary entries you’re adding to ensure they all have a count for carbs, fat, protein. Not just the total overall but the individual food items. Some may have 0 0 0. This happened to me a lot in the beginning and I only noticed it when I started to focus on my macro split after losing a few pounds

I use the app. If you are too.... Go into ‘more’ then choose ‘Explore Premium’ near the top. Hit the button at the bottom saying ‘start your 1 month free trial’. It will show you the prices there. You haven’t clicked far enough to commence the trial at that point. :)

£8 a month or £40 per year. I find the free one covers everything I need and I’ve been using it for 3 years straight.

Oh man. We use this all the time

I’d hoped it was temporary. It disappeared months ago, but then came back after maybe a few days. I assumed it was a server issue causing the temporary removal. Huge inconvenience if it’s gone for good.....

Responses made me giggle. Lol. If you prefer not to eat breakfast, skip it If you prefer breakfast, try swapping what you eat as others suggested. I always eat eggs for breakfast. It doesn’t set me off hungry a couple of hours later. I find eating cereal or bread etc does. (I’m sure it doesn’t for everyone. We’re all…

UK friends. Very dangerous having it in the house. Was a huge fan of pip and nut until I found this.....

Have you tried drinking a load of water. That might take the hunger feeling away as it sounds like you’ve dashed to finish work, grab kids and your busy day rolls on. Worth a try. Water works for me often when I think I’m hungry. Just a thought

Squat 90kg Bench 50kg Deadlift 110kg These are working sets, not one rep max My weights in everything else vary depending on the exercise. Sometimes I have 8kg dumb bells in my hands, sometimes 24kg. Hope that helps

Had one of these recently after adjusting contraception. Gained 6lbs in less than a week. Lost it 5 days later. It was just water retention. My hands felt puffy too, so I knew it was just water.

You’ve done amazing. Congrats on the weight loss. Your rate of loss is great! I’d second measuring absolutely everything on a food scale for a week or two. I don’t use ‘cups’ myself as I find the calories was often way out. If you prefer the simplicity, weigh once, tip into a cup to get a good idea on eye-balling it and…

I’ll keep it short. Bs. I had never lifted a weight, joined a gym, told them I wanted to do all weights. Deadlifted on day 1 with some advice. Asked a few times for the staff on the gym floor to check my form here and there. Unless you’re doing something dangerous, and I suspect you did just fine, they’re talking crap.…

Weighing peanut butter makes me sad.... Lol

On the smile thing, it’s hard to say not being there but I’m sure the person didn’t intend to offend you in any way. If they had intended to offend you, they probably would have chose alternative words. Just a thought.....

Every new item at the stores labelled protein this and protein that. One new bar had less protein than half an egg. Such false advertising.....

Wow. Interesting read. I had mine put in 4 months ago. I bled for 6 weeks from insertion and now I’m bleeding approx 18 days then 12 off. I’ve also noticed my sugar cravings being uncontrollable these last few months but hadn’t thought about my Mirena until I read this today. I’ve checked my app, and I’m eating more before…

Funniest thread I’ve read in ages. Thanks OP. 😂

When did you start swimming? TMI, sorry..... but I found when I started swimming I had loose toileting for a couple of weeks. I read up about it being all the bacteria etc in the pool..... honestly it settled down pretty quickly but I’m fairly certain for me anyway that it was the pool causing it. I couldn’t find anything…

No idea how these relate tbh but last use of the machine at the gym before Christmas has me at BMI 39.5 Fat 41.5% Hope that helps :)

I also started off with 5x5. Used an intro session to talk me through deadlifts and squats then just grabbed someone here and there to show me as I tried something else to add in. Helps to have useful staff on hand who don’t mind spending time showing you how to use things. Don’t be shy to ask for help. Everyone was new at…

Er no, lol

No loss, no gain Christmas week. Next weigh in this weekend. Took only Christmas Day off. Still tracked calories. It was BIG.

Great job! Love the shirt too.....

I do cardio every other day and don’t eat any of the cals back (most days). I guess as I’m not struggling for calories to eat overall,, I’ll not stress over it too much. I’ll kerp logging as strength for the exercise breakdown and then in cardio too to register something in calories. Thanks again everyone who replied.…
