Newbie, and struggling with hunger and dodgy stomach!

hi, im new, ive just noticed i've logged 10 days in the app. its great, i've found what i needed mainly but the barcode scanner has picked up the rest.

31, M, and looking to lose about 35kg.

first couple days, fine, and actually surprised that i didnt miss much, and i was still under the goal cals. i still am too, roughly 1600 a day. but past few i've had really bad bowels.

like i've eaten and had to go toilet within an hour, i've had not quite the advised amount of water but not far off (i forget to log this! but everything else is logged even down to the oils used in the pan when cooking)

and ive been getting gargling stomach, and generally feeling slow and weak.

does the body get "reset" into this lower calorie way of doing things or...? any help would be welcomed, i dont know if you can see my logging of diary or this is something i need to "turn on" in a setting.

thanks

And how have you actually changed what you are eating? Sometimes large changes in diet will affect your stomach for a while. It could be extra fiber from more fruit's and vegatables, to sensitivities to specific foods or oils, to just a general stress reaction from sudden change. Are you weighing and logging everything you eat? Perhaps add writing how you are feeling immediately after and an hour after eating, to help you figure out if it could be a particular sensitivity vs a changed diet thing. That is how I discovered I was very sensitive to anything soy, and oleic oil.
Otherwise, you can try dialing back your dietary changes a bit and gradually adding more fruits and vegatables, and cutting back on whatever you are cutting back on, instead if doing it all at once.

174cm and started at 130kg. Already down to 128. I have set reminder for Monday's to weigh in.

I've up my chicken intake. Although I had it 3 times a week before. I usually griddle pan or stir fry it. I also ate / eat prawns same way.

I've cut out snacks like chocolate and biscuits. Added Greek yoghurt for breakfast which I never used to eat. I'd only have lunch and dinner. And started swimming again. I'm limited to excercise swimming only really for cardio due to mobility / lower limb issues. I plan to do weights soon (not free weights, machines)

I did take a spirulina drink two days This week which I thought may have been the culprit. I have since stopped it, it's pretty horrible lol.

Fruit intake for the next fews days will be apples oranges and grapes. I ate them before but not regularly.

    I think that's everything lol

    When did you start swimming?

TMI, sorry..... but I found when I started swimming I had loose toileting for a couple of weeks. I read up about it being all the bacteria etc in the pool..... honestly it settled down pretty quickly but I’m fairly certain for me anyway that it was the pool causing it. I couldn’t find anything in my diet to explain it.

Are you lactose intolerant? Perhaps the Greek yogurt is not agreeing with you.

Did MFP give you the 1600 calorie goal? That seems low for a 285 lb male. I'm a 160 lb female and I aim for 1400-1500 to lose, with minimal exercise.

It gives me 2200. But I'm struggling to fit it in. I have few hundred grams of chicken in a meal. Snack on nuts (currently trialing a mix to find which ones I like, and will order bulk of one's I do). I've allowed myself a snack a day Of whatever I fancy but obviously a suggested serving, eg just two blocks of chocolate or one biscuit. I'm pretty sure I'm not intolerant to lactose. I don't drink milk or eat cereal but it's just preference. I've ate milk products like yoghurt (sugary kind), chocolate things etc before

The pool bacteria is 100% untrue and if you're getting sick from it you get to report them to the health department because they have an unsafe level of sanitizer.
