Thanks for the replies....just to clear things up though - my BMR is 1800 calories without exercise...If I eat those 1800 calories on lifting days with 40% from protein, 30% each from fat and carbs what will the effect on my body be?

I am hoping to do T25 Focus, I am also hoping that it is similar to insanity but more intense. Has anyone any idea about what it involves? Does it require extra equipment/space etc...?
-
Well. Finished Insanity on Sunday, took photos etc....There is a big difference in my body shape and I have lost 1 stone. Got to say, as tough as it is to do the 63 days I do think its been well worth it. I have a busy month in May with work, out of town quite a lot staying in hotels so will try to do as much exercise as I…

Core cardio and balance this morning...this seems like a day off in comparison to some of the other workouts! 3 days left, 2 tough ones and the fit test which I am really looking forward to.
-
Max Interval Circuit this morning - I enjoy this workout and its always a huge calorie burn. Had a slight pain in my shoulder doing plank punches today, maybe just a bit of wear and tear on the muscle. 4 days to go........
-
Max cardio conditioning and cardio abs done this morning - burned almost 800 cals in total. Can really notice a difference in my weight, appearance and fitness levels now. Its been hard work but we only have 5 days left now. Are we all still doing it or am I on my own here?
-
Max Interval Circuit this morning. Its long this one but I actually quite enjoy it now - I think I am becoming warped!! 9 days to go......
-
Max Recovery done. That is the last time I do max recovery!! Hooray! Day 53 done, onto the last 10 day stretch now.
-
Month 2 is just relentless...Hard workout after hard workout.. Not a break within any. I am actually looking forward to max cardio conditioning and cardio abs tomorrow as an 'easy day' - oh well, stick in there. Not long to go!!
-
What do you mean by 'TDEE from a very active modifier'? I do insanity 6 days per week but my job is a very inactive office job.
-
Max Plyo done today - back at it after a day off with a cold yesterday. Still dont feel that good today but didnt want to get too behind. Got through it today, was a real struggle though! Will double up over the weekend and hope that I am OK for fit test on Monday - thats week 3 of month 2, the end is in sight!!
-
Dont give up now, you have got less than 3 weeks left. Just stick at it, do as much as you can and get to the end, you will regret it if you quit now.
-
Taking a day off today as I have caught the dreaded cold. Snotty and aching! I could try and do max plyo today but think it would do me more harm than good. Hope everyone is doing OK.

Hi, It is totally normal to be sore and your body will be shocked. I am on day 42 now and I started on day 1 as someone who was quite fit, played soccer, went to the gym etc and after my first days I was totally shocked at how much I was hurting from Insanity. After day 4 or 5 though all the pain went away following the…

Max Interval Circuit - wow, this one is so tough! Burned 855 cals in an hour! Almost dead by the end of it......Most enjoyable part of month 2 so far is just finishing each workout!!
-
Max cardio this morning - got to say, these month 2 workouts are so tough, but we are getting through them so we must be doing OK!!! Some of the drills are a bloody nightmare - full body drill, level 3 drills - wow!!! I get nowhere near 2 sets of 16 press ups and floor sprints. Feeling leaner though so must be working,…

Same here Nathan...I did fit test at 8am then had some porridge for energy, started Max Interval at 9-45....Wow! What a shock to the system! But....I got through it even though I had to take a few more breaks than intended. I had to rest at certain points as I physically couldn't go on. Got to the end though and feeling OK…

Sorry I haven't been on for a few days but I have had to spend some time out of the country working. I managed to keep up with Insanity though. Enjoying the recovery week so far, its a lot more relaxing but still a decent workout. So happy to be almost at the halfway point of insanity and to be honest I am starting to…

Weighed myself this morning - exactly the same weight as last week but doesn;t bother me as I can see and feel the difference. I imagine losing fat and building muscle is not going to result in too much weight loss. As long as I look OK when its over I will be happy.
-
Pure cardio and cardio abs for me too, was tough but got through it OK. I actually struggled more on Plyomeetric yesterday, was clock watching all the way through it - felt shattered! Into week 4 though, its going quite quickly now. Looking forward to recovery week and then a mental month 2.
-
Just done my Cardio recovery - those slow squats are killers but holding them at the end and then pulsing - wow!! Pain or what??? Anyway, got it done and I have another day ticked off on my wallchart. Looking forward to getting to recovery week and then going bananas in month 2. As soon as we get into month 2 there is a…

I play football every Saturday and although I am a member of a gym I haven''t been since I started insanity. I will probably start back there next week, just a couple of times a week to do a bit of strength training. Would imagine it can only help - plus jacuzzi and sauna there will be a help to muscles.
-
I definitely am pushing hard - doing as much as I physically can and taking probably an extra 1m 30s break than they do on the DVD's. I was just wondering if burning that many cals was about right.
-
I am having my off day today as I am in London all day...did my Plyometric circuit yesterday.....Apprximately 1/6 of the way through insanity and I can feel the benefits already. I have a HRM and I seem to burning more cals than others, do you think it may be faulty? Yesterday's workout said I burned 679 cals during plyo…

Second bout of Pure Cardio done this morning. Was again tough but I took less breaks than I did first time around. Feeling a lot stronger already just halfway through my second week of Insanity. Looking forward to how strong I feel at the end!
-
CherishQuick - I think the first couple of weeks are as much about mental strength as physical to be honest. You need to just keep going and have in your mind that it will only get easier as you get fitter and stronger. At the end of the 60 days I am sure if you do one of these early workouts you will be so much stronger…

I had my rest day on Friday as I work in London on a Friday so am up and out of the house at 5am and not home until 10pm, I also play soccer on a Saturday so didnt do my workout til the next day. Just did my second Cardio Plyometric workout - very hard again but felt slightly stronger. Still struggling a LOT with Insanity…

I got weighed this morning and I have lost 5lbs since last week - though the week before weigh day last week I had quite a lot to eat and drink. Good though to have lost the excess. I weigh 13st 10lb this morning, hoping to get to around 13 stones by the end and a lot stronger too.
-
Day 3 for me was again very hard . I am trying to pace myself a bit better so not going flat out at the start and keep going for longer. I had lots of water breaks too but I physically just couln't carry on....I am so stiff after the workouts that even when I am starting again the next day I am still sore. Hopefully this…

Hello all, I am Barry from Liverpool in England, although I now live in a small village in Lancashire with my girlfriend and our dog. The main reason for doing insanity for me is that we are getting married in August on the beach in Turkey and I want to be in good shape for the wedding and holiday. I am also 40 in August…
