I think you are doing great so far. I have felt similar things when looking in the mirror which is why I decided that's it! Enough is enough...I struggle everyday with making good food choices but give myself lots of atta girls when I eat well and stay under my calorie goals. Small victories mean just as much as the large…

I really like Muscle Milk. It has 20g of protein in a 11oz. container. Calories are 180 so not too bad. Tastes just like chocolate milk.

I find that if I eat a good breakfast then my evening binges completely go away...make a point to eat every 3-4 hours. Plenty of hydration throughout the day. If you have trigger foods try and create a lower fat version. And if you really want a biscuit then eat it! I am a HUGE milk chocolate eater...I am currently almost…

Dixie that's awesome! I quit five years ago and never looked back. It was the best decision I've ever made. Fight through the cravings...I used the patch for a month. I also used suckers when the cravings were really bad. Good luck!!

I completely understand where you are coming from. I agree with short term goals. Mine is to work out for thirty minutes three times this week. When I hit that goal I will create another. Is it gonna be difficult? Oh yes...will it be worth it? Oh yes...

Day is a new day...feel free to add me.

Thanks everyone...I have the P90X DVD's as well but I am so outta shape I thought starting with P90 would be a better bet. I suppose at this point ANY amount of strength training is better than none...

This must be the downer day...woke up this morning and KNEW it was gonna be "one of those days". I agree...I think the weather definitely plays into it...at least for me...haven't seen the sun in days.

Thanks everyone...I'm ashamed to say that I do have a recumbant bike, free weights, and several DVD's...just don't seem to have the motivation to get with the program...

I smoked for 15 years. Tried a few times to quit and failed horribly. One day five years ago I said enough was enough. Used the patch for a month and had a supply of twizzlers and dum dum suckers with me at all times. I will tell you quitting the smokes was MUCH easier than losing weight...

Hungry...I applaud your honesty! I can plow through a whole box of chocolate covered cherries without blinking and eye, so I know where you are coming from. What you gotta ask yourself is this..."Are those sticks of butter worth the remorse I will most certainly feel after I eat them?" If the answer is yes then you aren't…

Welcome Ban! Good luck on this new adventure...

Salbycat thanks so much for the advice! I think most of my problem is that the food is there and not necessarily that I'm hungry...I really enjoy a good cup of hot tea, and am willing to give that a try. I have come so close a time or two as well, so I feel your pain. I thought quitting smoking five years ago was…

I've always been a chocolate freak...ever since I can remember. It has been my go to food when I'm happy, sad, stressed...you name it. Unfortunately giving in to all those cravings has packed the pounds on. It's time to find other ways to deal with late night cravings and stress!!
-
I could sure use some advice on dealing with stress eating...also snacking late at night! It seems I start out strong but fizzle by 6pm. Any tips would be sooo helpful...Thanks guys

I recently tried WW online. Honestly I think MFP is just as useful with the benefit of being completely free.
