  • I did it a few yrs back and did not have any results other than disliking her more. I am sure it is better than nothing and I am sure that it is helpful for some..just not me. I looked through the threads back then and there were lots of people that loved it and got ok or good results. I however did not notice anything for…
  • I use solely workout videos and my calories burn ( fit bit and heart rate monitor ) vary every time. It depends on your intensity like Anna said..your enthusiasm this time may not have been as great as the last week. The heart rate monitor varies due to this as well as fitness improvements.
  • alondrakayy Thank you ~ so basically I should stick to my cardio fitness routine until I am closer to goal then begin to focus on strength? ( < with minimal cardio just to keep up my fitness health ) Being that I want to lose weight...I clearly need to be in a deficit and do not want it to take 5 yrs or I would give up lol…
  • Having protein be it meat or not should be with every meal which will boost your intake. Have meat with your breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can even get the beef jerky and lower fat cheese for snacks. they have so many different kinds of jerky now. Every one usually mentions PB however I see PB as more cals & fat than I…
  • Thank you :) At home thankfully months ago I changed my habit of what I do after eating. I do not run out to have a butt - I clean up, do dishes etc. I started taking as long as possible before going out. I was a boredom smoker...that is what scares me most! I am also afraid if I see the scale going up that I will pick…
  • I used WW years ago and in my opinion..back then ( 2002ish ) the program was far easier and worked! After having twins I tried it again...failed...they changed the program yet again and I tried it again...failed! I liked the original where I could look at a package and calculate the points in my head. I liked counting…
  • I will check into that Thank you ;)
  • NorthCascades I did a search on google for interactive bikes and a few popped up. Prices starting about 400 and go up to several grand. Some have more games than others or different features etc,
  • just lose weight for now later on...will be toning. Thank you very much for you reply
  • From what I was told - mashed potatoes for diabetics is not good. Baked (and only half) is OK so long as it is not loaded. Not sure why simple mashed versed baked matters as I am not diabetic and have not looked into it. As far as eating everyday... I have one several times per week with dinner and have had no issues. Fit…
  • You need to find what works for you - if you can get in the exercise religiously then that is fantastic and you have won half the battle. Any healthy changes are better than none. If you find focusing there first helps...then go for it!! The rest will fall into place. - try to make small changes to your diet here and…
  • No cooking involved is going to keep you stuck at salads and sandwiches lol - with a bit of prep - ^^ above as well as my faves Garlic chicken with a side salad or broccoli. you can pair with hard boiled eggs, spinach, chicken salad with dried cranberries on light crackers, get creative with salads you will be amazed at…
  • I use 1&1 - two sites one is integrated with wordpress - decent price and user friendly -
  • I have not done that one specifically however I have Turbo Jam from her and LOVE it..she has become my Fave.
  • Syrenblade, I just tested the two things you mentioned and no it did not happen. I did a few reps just to be sure. I do not recall any back pain what so ever during exercise however on occasion I do suffer from lower back pain and have for years since being pregnant with twins :( I am actually thinking you maybe right…
  • LeadingMuscle - THANK YOU!! I do consume a protein shake half hour prior to the workout and eat half hour after with protein & veggies. I feel the burn during and awhile later but not to the point I can not move lol And the muscle loss was my concern with cardio every day hence why I wanted to make the strength more than…
  • Never mind got my answer elsewhere ~ in case anyone else is curious this was the response I got in regards to Turbo Sculpt consecutive days. By strength training every day, you risk two things: First, you can actually lose muscle. Muscle develops while at rest, which is why you should never work the same area two days in a…
  • For the sake of argument and since my question was not really answered as everyone looked at it as either non strength or simply told me to lift / find another program...I appreciate the advice on choosing another program, I do however I enjoy my current program and that keeps me going. If I do not enjoy my workouts...they…
  • Turbo Jam - Turbo Sculpt is not cardio. The rest of the disks are but not this one :)
  • The last 10 pounds are ALWAYS the hardest for I think everyone. Just keep at it..you will get there ;) - focus on eating healthy and keeping up a good exercise regimen that works for you. It will be slow - BTW I have seen alot of people gain when they start 30 DS and then towards the end..Boom! they shred it. I however had…
  • The Zumba Exhileration is a full set that has low intensity to full intensity. Their included schedule actually helps you work your way up. I used this set last year and still love it!! I actualy just bought another Zumba set but have not used that one yet. I highly recommend this one as you will out grow the slow stuff…

  • I second the Skinny Cow stuff for chocolate cravings. I usually have the chocolate craving the day or two before then that goes away (I do not care for chocolate any other time) - I do crave carbs like no tomorrow though!!! For the body - I steal my SIL's IB800 lol and exercise DOES help - I do not know how or why but it…
  • You can enter it by searching for it under the cardio. The strength section in MFP is just for recording reps etc. but will not calculate nor add calories burnt. Anytime you want calories burnt you will enter it under the cardio. BTW you do not burn as many calories strength training as you would think you do ;)
  • Actually I did - in my post I stated "I am the adult"..I also stated I took away the video games that have you sitting on your butt. As well as dictating what my kids eat. The only thing I can not control is what they choose when not with me...Hence my requirement for teaching them what they should and should not choose.…
