You look fantastic, but most importantly you look happy. Great job! :)

HI! I found a formula for Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred that I use to log those workouts: 3.267 calories burned per pound per hour so 3.267 x your weight divided by 3 (20 minute workouts)= Calories burned Hope this helps!

This question made me realize how many people have made comments about my weight throughout my life! I've heard "fat" comments from friends, teachers, exs, neighbors, and family members. But I think the one that hurt the most was when a random carload of guys drove past me (while I was out for a walk and trying to get…

This is all wonderful advice! I would like to add that you can always run less than the scheduled run times if needed. I started off very heavy and very out of shape, so running 60-90 seconds was impossible. I modified the first week so that I started at 30 seconds of running and then worked my way up from there. Repeat…

You are certainly not alone! I did the same thing and was on the verge of an eating disorder as a result. I took a few months off from counting calories and just focused on making good food choices and listening to my body for cues to eat. I went from obsessively checking MFP all day and eating based on the clock or how…

You look fantastic! Keep up the good work!

You're quoting Edward Cullen???

C25K is how I got started and I used to hate running. Follow the plan and give yourself time to see if you like it or not. Day 1 of week 1 I thought to myself, "I can't believe I'm doing this! I'm actually running! I feel great!" Day 2 of week 1 I thought to myself, "I can't believe people do this for fun! Why would…

Congratulations on all your success! You have found what works for you and that's all that matters. :)

This has been my experience, as well. The more miles I log the more improved my running, but I know everyone's different. I'm going to slowly build up my mileage to 15 miles and start doing tempo runs (something I've never tried before). Thank you so much for all of your suggestions and comments!

Thank you for your help! That makes sense to me now. :)

I have hypothyroidism and take medication for it daily. It has taken over 2 years with regular exercise and calorie counting, but I've been able to lose 47 lbs (55 lbs lost at my lowest weight). It has been a slow and sometimes frustrating process, but I have been able to keep the weight off. This is a huge accomplishment…

Great job! We are very similar in build with the same goals! It's nice to see what the "after" looks like. :)

Congratulations! That's awesome!

Bump...YUM!

Great job! You look terrific!

I just recently realized that I self-sabotage, too. I also realized that I don't JUST do it with my diet, but in other things, as well. Anytime I get close to reaching a goal, it's like I freak out and take several steps back. In the recent past, I let it prevent me from reaching my goal weight, which was within 9 lbs, and…

My name was KiddieTx because I am a children's (kiddie) therapist (tx-shortened version of treatment). I changed it to Log_n_Jog after about 6 months on maintenance and gaining back 15 lbs. I realized that the changes I made-logging what I eat and jogging regularly-are habits I will need to keep for a lifetime if I want to…

I've received a lot of nice compliments about my weight loss, but there is something about running that seems to irritate some people. Here are some of the stupid comments I've heard: "Did you hear about that guy who died running a 5K/10K/half marathon (or whatever race I will be running next)?" This usually leads to other…

I did the same thing. I lost 55 lbs and then gained 15 lbs back all within 9 lbs of my goal weight. It was hard to face and I was very disappointed with myself, but I knew I had to get back to logging and exercising before I gained it all back and then some. Try to focus on what you have learned from this experience and…

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2004. I have lost 50ish lbs, but it has taken two + years. Add me if you like!

You are awesome! Congratulations on all of your success. :)

Congratulations and welcome back!

You're off to a good start by wanting to make changes, being on MFP, and getting support! My best advice is to take it one day at a time, one little change at a time. You can add me if you like! I am on here daily and have used this site for over 2 years. I have hypothyroidism, so my weight loss has been slow, but I have…

That's wonderful! Congratulations! :)
