  • i love the juice. it's a great recovery drink. plus it tastes great. it's been known for a long time in south america as a very healthy drink. volley ball players drink it as a slushy during games in brazil all the time.:drinker:
  • i'm extra curious and do both but use the after for mfp.
  • welcome to mfp! :flowerforyou:
  • You're in the right place! This site will help you on your way. No question. All the best! :flowerforyou:
  • Too structured for me! But I do mix the P90X workouts into my personal routine. Seems to be working so far. I basically use this site and healthy food choices as my supporting diet plan. I did Ab RipperX the other day and my hip flexers... well lets just say it's the first time I ever felt them! PAIN! I've been doing ab…
  • I don't mind water. I just say, "this is good for me" and slam it back. I really notice when I don't drink enough water. So that also drives me to drink up. I've been experimenting with tea. Lipton has some good ones out there. Anitoxidants etc. :drinker:
  • I had the same experience. :grumble: Twice actually. Both times he pulled out the BMI wheel thingy and showed me how according to BMI I was OBESE. :noway: That particular word really made me laugh as that didn't quite fit with my own self image. I discounted it a bit when of course you have to factor in body type. I think…
  • Anyone else use MFP as a distraction from work when bored out of your mind!? :embarassed:
  • NICE!:flowerforyou: I was just thinking about my next visit in a year. Can't wait to see his happy face! haha:laugh:

  • Funny enough they were Tim Horton's donuts. St. Patti's Day donut with green sprinkles donut Double Chocolate Dip Canadian Maple And I'm not even feeling guilty because I know I'm going to eat right the rest of the day and workout. Thanks to the site I'll know exactly how much I can eat after those suckers. I also know I…
  • I ate 3 donuts today (not all at the same time)!! THEY WERE AMAZING! First ones I've eaten in months. I'm looking forward to kicking my butt during my next workout either tonight or tomorrow morning!!
  • Best thing to do in my humble opinion is always buy the six inch. It's just enough and if you still have more calories to eat then choose a nutritious option like fruit or veg. We really don't need more than a sandwich the size of a six inch for a meal, especially when paired with a drink and fruit. It's a mental thing…
  • Great job! :drinker:
  • I love Supreme Protein bars. I've added a few to the database. Half of one for a snack really makes you think you're being bad because they taste soooo good.
  • I do about 350 -400 cals per half hour on the stationary bike. Times that by 3 and you get 1050 -1200 cals for 90 minutes. I would say it's probably pretty close. I'm 5'10, 31yrs and 220lbs. Oh, and a dude in case you couldn't tell. Max estimated HR 189. I ride my mtn bike for 90 minutes. In the summer I can verfiy with my…
  • WELCOME :flowerforyou:
  • I have to agree guys. A week ago I updated my weight and found I lost my first 10 pounds. The pants were a little looser but I was still using the same hole on my belt. TODAY, I weighed in and the scale hasn't moved, HOWEVER I did go down a hole on the belt! So YAY and this proves that it's not all about how much you weigh…
  • Congrats! :drinker: You should feel good! Thanks for sharing your timeline as it helps to keep things in perspective. Patience and discipline are one of my biggest challenges on this journey. Sometimes it just doesn't happen fast enough! You know?! :ohwell: I'm doing the same so I'm more confident now that it will work for…
  • Hey there, In the beginning did anyone else notice it takes about 30-40% less food to feel full after a meal? It's been about 3 weeks since I started and in the last few days I've noticed I'm full after my smaller sized meals. I've been drinking water so I know that helps, but is my stomach shrinking too? Maybe my brain is…
  • Thanks y'all!:drinker:
  • Whoohoo! This actually works man! It was a good feeling seeing that needle on the scale showing 220. I can't wait to see 210, 200, 190, 180.

  • I'm eating out tonight. The difference is I know where I'm going. So I've looked at the menu on-line and planned what I'm going to eat and then made a best guess at the ingredients for my food diary. It's a bit tedious but helpful in our situations and I don't eat out a lot so I don't mind it. If you're lucky, you find a…
  • I'll try it out for sure!
  • just testing my new ticker
  • Don't cry. :frown: I know it feels crappy but don't sweat it. You sound like you at least have the awareness to keep it from happening more often than it does. If it's only every few months then I would say it's ok as long as the rest of the time is spent sticking to your plan. We all have bad days, it's how you make up…
  • That sounds really good! Sorry not much help. :ohwell:
