Just curious if any of you eat them and if so what kind and what you benefit from them.

I eat the promax bars, I just like the way they taste, I'm not sure about the benefits of them but I use them when I need a quick meal on the go.

I like the different LUNA varieties. I will usually have one for my mid-morning snack or afternoon snack if I am on the go and do not have anything else readily available. I will also choose one as a snack if I have a sweet craving. Most protein bars are high calorie (Luna usually about 190/bar) and moderate in sugar (around 10g).
My gym (lifetime Fitness) has a great line of bars that I also use. I will usually have 1/2 of an energy bar an hour before a high cardio class.
If I have not worked out I will not choose a protein bar that day. It has always been recommended to me that they are to be used after a more high impact, high calorie workout to aid in recovery.

I tried a Promax bar today and it was yummy but looking at the ingredients (after I ate it of course, couldn't look before I bought it) I found out that they are garbage! I haven't found a good protein bar yet. I have whey protein powder I use for smoothies sometimes. Chocolate powder, skim milk, and a frozen banana = super yum.0

I LOVE nature's path peanut butter energy bars, they are so good I love them for after a work out, or a quick bite0

I love Supreme Protein bars. I've added a few to the database. Half of one for a snack really makes you think you're being bad because they taste soooo good.:laugh:0

Supreme Protien Bars are the best. They make you feel like you are eating a chocolate bar. A good protien powder is ISO-Femme. Low in cal/carbs sugar/fat. protien per scoop is 27 grams I believe.0

Pure Protein Bars. Chocolate Peanut Butter is the best. 190 calories, 18 g of protein, low carbs and sugar. Just a word on anything with sugar alcohols though...gas and bloating. I try to limit my intake of anything processed.0
