12/24 12/25 12/26 194.6 12/27 194.4. I got a Nokia HR for Christmas and am excited to use it! Also excited for this challenge, even though I found it a bit late. I need to lose this weight I’ve put on in the last year (30+lbs). 12/28 12/29 12/30 12/31 01/01 01/02

Did you end up starting a group? Interested!
-
In the past when I had success I concentrated on getting enough protein, keeping carbs moderate or low, and did not worry about fat so I was constantly over on fat and it didn't hurt my efforts at all. Of course, staying within calorie allowances was essential.

Not sure if you can see my profile pic but I'm in your goal range there. And just under 5'9" as well.

I'm going to start this strictly next week once I figure out a meal plan that works for me and do my groceries. I know it's calories in and out and I know it's not going to speed up my metabolism but at this point I need some structure to my eating. I'm home all day with my baby and it's just toooo easy to grab anything I…

I find it motivating so I'm really sad I can't find my sensor :( looking into buying a new one now.

Wow 10 :) jealous you get to be seen earlier than the norm around here. Congrats on your baby. Ps everyone feel free to add me!
-
Congrats on your baby sardelsa. Ps I'm from Toronto too!
-
I'm exclusively breastfeeding too so I'm trying to balance my eating so that I eat enough but not too much. It's hard sometimes. I hope your pelvic floor gets back to normal soon. What are you doing eating-wise?
-
Unless you're obese and the Dr recommends this and has you under close supervision, I wouldn't try it.
-
Water retention I think. That, or you shrunk your socks.
-
Unless you're overeating, it's just water weight and will come off in the week following your period.

+1. Don't fall off your high horse OP.

Can you add a pumping session? Also, sometimes if let down is taking too long I stop pumping and start hand expressing right into the bottle. It's actually really effective if you do it right. The pumping brings my milk to the front and it's really easy to squeeze out. Or even if i did have a let down but then the milk…

Slice half a cucumber and put the slices in a pitcher of water. So good!

It's not your age. You're just eating too much and moving too little. I'm 34 and still don't find it harder to lose weight than in my early 20s.

Bump. Good post.

+1. If it's homemade it's a lot easier to know the calorie content.

I can't believe people are getting upset over the suggestion to get a food scale. She didn't lose anything in a month with her previous methods so obviously something was amiss with her estimates.

Well you'll never have 100% accuracy but a heart rate monitor is more accurate than the machines and more accurate than MFP in many cases. You should eat back exercise calories although if you're not sure about accuracy you can choose to eat back just 75% or something like that.

How long have you been married? Has he shown insecurity in the past?
-
Measuring cups work fine for liquids but for most solids I would opt for weighing. It's more accurate. I would even weigh cold cuts and cheese slices that are labeled per slice (and grams) because as I've experienced, the actual weight per slice can be really off from what's on the label and it adds up. Other things to…

In reality one or both of you would need to eat less than 1200 to lose 2/week but since 1200 is the minimum MFP will give anyone (even if by the math they're supposed to eat 1100), you get stuck with 1200.

What is this unit and why do you want to be in it?

Old thread gaaaah. I've already replied to it in 2012 lol

Since you asked, the healthy bmi range works for me. I'm 5'9" and 145. I've been steady at this weight now for a month or so without logging my food. My big weight loss on the ticker is from my pregnancy high weight but all my adult life I've been 140-145 when not logging to lose and when not overeating. I start looking…

I was thinking 1 and 2 is very likely. OP you look top heavy relative to your hips/waist. It's possible you measure smaller in these areas than others who weigh less but then people typically don't give their arm, thigh measurements. You just carry it differently. You look your weight, and I don't mean anything bad by that.
