I probably eat because of emotions sometimes, or just boredom. But then there are times if I'm upset I can't eat anything. I do exercise, which I enjoy. I used to have very high metabolism and could eat everything in sight. At about 18 that stopped, and I started gaining weight. Ever since I've been learning how to eat…

24 years old and studying social work at WSU in Wichita KS. Juggling work, school, friends and eating healthy/exercise is hard! But I'm doing it!

I accept all friend requests!

For me, or most people, if I tell myself I cannot eat something, that makes me want it all the more. Acknowledge the fact that you CAN have it, however, you don't WANT it.

Mine's open, add me

I completely gave up pop, even diet pop. I think I'll see more benefits in the long run. I also drink just water for the most part. And I eat fast food maybe once every 6 months.

I read in some articles to eat 3-4 eggs per week. A few months ago I was eating 2 eggs a day. 2 eggs is more than 100% of the recommended daily cholesterol. I switched to the egg whites that are sold in the containers. Still lots of protein and filling.

Wichita KS is one the most overweight cities in the U.S. Poverty is correlated with being overweight.

Your calorie goal should be individualized. You can change it too. I'm 5'1" and 126 pounds, and I do eat as little as 1100 a day to try to lose 5 more pounds. You can view my food diary.

You should eat at LEAST 1200 a day. I wouldn't start out eating that little. You can look at different websites to determine what your daily calorie intake would be to maintain your weight based on your weight, height and sex. So cutting 500-1000 calories a week (3500 calories=1 pound) should be a good start.

I'm 5'1". It's very true, I notice if I gain or lose just a few pounds, I notice a slight difference.

Chicken and eggs (protein) is very filling. Maybe try replacing those with something else.

I know that MFP posts their minimum as 1,200. In fact I've heard that if you can't lose weight eating 1,200 a day, then you don't need to lose weight. Maybe do 1300 or 1400 and see how you feel after a week.

You look amazing. I never would've guessed that you weigh 155...

I recently discovered Chobani's greek yogurt. I have about one a day. I love the blueberry flavored one.

I met my current bf online about 2 1/2 years ago. I was really picky. I almost never sent messages, and I'd delete many messages that I had received. If there was any indication or feeling that a guy just wanted sex I wouldn't even talk to him.

I agree with everything you said. I've learned to educate myself on proper nutrition. A friend of mine has gained a ton of weight. She tried the special K diet for 2 weeks, lost nothing. Then tried this daily exercise thing online, all the while, still drinking her needed 1 soda a day, and eating out several times a week.…

About a cup of yellow squash, peeled sliced and grilled, 1/2 cup of egg substitute and 1 slice of whole grain bread w/ cinnamon sprinkled on it. 160 calories.

I'm a fan of lifting. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn just by sitting and doing nothing. It's nice to start seeing definition too, and it's motivating. Also when you notice you can lift more weight after a few weeks. I limit my cardio to maybe 30 minutes a week, mainly cause it bores me.

I try to eat about 1,100 calories a day and I work out 3 days a week. But there are days when I go above 1,100 so I think those days make up for calories I lose. I can't realistically stick to 1,100 each day

From what I know, your diet has bigger impact on your weight loss than exercise does. Of course combining eating healthy and exercise is best. I think the main thing to work on would be temptation of unhealthy foods. I recommend a documentary on netflix called HUNGRY FOR CHANGE.

I'm NOT single but I've chosen to not participate in Valentine's day this year. I think it's a dumb holiday. My boyfriend seemed fine with that anyways. No stupid flowers or chocolate, stuff I don't need

As long as it's healthy fat, like from avocados or salmon. I love protein. It's so filling
