  • Is your trainer a certified personal trainer? Do you trust him? Just my personal thoughts but why take the advice of random people online over your trainer? Depending on your stats like Francl said, upping your calories just might be the thing you need. Make them good, healthy calories and see what happens.
  • Everything I've read from MFP says to eat under your BMR. The BMR is what you need to live: heart beating, breathing, etc. To lose weight you need to eat less than your body uses in a day. However, I do not agree with MFP telling you to 'eat back your exercise calories'. Now I know a lot, and I do mean A LOT of people on…
  • I read an article that a few weeks ago they added a lot of the Les Mills workouts to the data base. Try searching under the specific name, like Body Pump.
  • That definitely looks like Victory to me! And I love the all blue dress! :)
  • 4ofus, you have a beautiful face and a great smile!
  • I've been taking Body Pump regularly for almost two years. It is most definitely lifting but endurance lifting. Some of the tracks will leave you breathless if you put your all into them so there is an element of cardio too. If you get bored using free weights then I think Body Pump is a great alternative. The instructors…
  • And just to add to all the wonderful stuff above, there is a huge difference in most people between bicep curls/tricep extension weights and squat or deadlift weight. Your legs are the biggest muscle group and can handle much more than your arms can. Deadlifts use your back and your legs so you're using another large…
  • I've been on this journey for almost 3 years and I still have about 40 pounds to go. If it didn't pack on all at once, it won't come off all at once either. Don't give up, you'll get there! :)
  • My initial goal is 175 which will be 100 lbs lost. I don't know if I'll try to get lower, it's been such a journey just to get where I am. :)
  • La Tortilla Factory has a Teff and Millet whole grain wrap that's actually pretty good. You need to zap it for about 30-45 seconds before you try to roll it up but it's great for cheese steaks and sandwich wraps. :)
  • I love his stuff too. I recommend going to his website and working through the Alex Cross novels in order. The cases are usually separate but the storyline with Alex builds in each book. The first is Along Came A Spider. :)
  • Les Mills' says you can burn up to an average of 560 calories/hour. The only way to know for sure how much you're burning is to have an HRM but for me I created a line item called Body Pump and use 500 calories/60 minutes but since I know it's an estimate I never eat all those calories back in a day. That's been working…
  • You rock my friend and look fantastic! Congratulations!!
  • Prego sauces are Gluten-free. I have to be gluten-free unfortunately my baking experience is using cornstarch as one of my flours. Although you can substitute tapioca for cornstarch, they have the same properties. My basic bread recipe is: 2.5 cups GF flour blend (listed below) 1 tsp salt 2 tsp xanthan gum (I'm fairly…
  • I get that alot too. People honestly guess I'm around 175 when that's my goal weight...I'm 213 right now. My profile pic I'm more like 220. I think it's just your build and your muscle mass. While I've always been heavy, no one has ever guess how high I was on the scale...it's just the way I'm built. That's why I'm going…
  • I love that! I'm celebrating and crying a little right with you. Congratulations!

  • I make a sandwich with 1 cup spinach wilted, 2 eggs scrambled, 1 slice cheese (usually either swiss or provolone) on two slices of gluten-free bread and coffee. I average around 600 calories for breakfast. I usually go the gym after my son leaves for school so I've found the higher calories and the combo of protein and…
  • You look wonderful! I can totally see the differences. Congrats on getting to One-derland too! :)
  • I agree with both above. Strength training/lifting builds lean muscle which burns more calories all the time versus cardio that just burns while you're doing it. Of course cardio is important too for the fat burning effects but it shouldn't be the only thing you do. :)
  • I do the plain with peanut butter and dip apples or bananas in it for lunch alot. Or the Yoplait honey vanilla is great with the peanut butter or PB2 if you want to save the calories/fat. Yum! I had that for lunch today actually.
  • I'm 33 and I've been on this journey for over 2 years. I just said to someone else that while it would be nice if the weight came off a little quicker sometimes, I'm so glad it's going slowly because I'm tightening up as I go. I have no excess skin issues so far and I have 38 pounds (100 total) to go. :)
  • I did a quick google search and according to the FAQ page on the Get Go website the individual stores are supposed to have nutritional info. Did you try contacting the actual store you got the sub from? Good Luck.
  • Haha! That's awesome, you definitely don't look 43! :) *edit. Oh and you guys were almost right on, I'm 33 turning 34 in April. :)
  • 30? (please don't hate me if I'm way off, lol)
  • It's an endurance barbell lifting class that pushes you to work each muscle group separately for maximum burn. :) I LOVE Body Pump! Oh and I also asked my instructor and used the Les Mills website for an average. I created a line for Body Pump and use 500 as my average. Not to get into a debate on eating exercise calories…
  • No matter what, remember this! Good Luck on your journey.
  • If you don't feel comfortable with that real friend seeing your posts then I'd let her know that and decline. I actually made a rule when I started that I would only accept friend requests from people I knew in real life. That's what I felt comfortable so you just need to stick with what you feel comfortable with.
  • Sorry, I didn't realize there were requests. :) Here's my recipe: 3.5 cups rolled oats (I need gluten-free so if you do too, make sure they're marked gluten-free) 2 tsp cinnamon Toss oats and cinnamon in large bowl. In smaller separate bowl combine: 1 cup applesauce (no sugar added is best) 2 tsp vanilla 1-2 Tbsp honey or…
  • I know it can be frustrating but I would encourage you to not give up. You're about halfway to your goal based on your ticker and as we get closer to our goal weight it is harder to lose. I agree with taking measurements or compare pictures if you didn't take any measurements at the beginning. Also take a good look at what…
