  • I know it can be frustrating but I would encourage you to not give up. You're about halfway to your goal based on your ticker and as we get closer to our goal weight it is harder to lose. I agree with taking measurements or compare pictures if you didn't take any measurements at the beginning. Also take a good look at what…
  • I make my own using applesauce, a little honey and cinnamon and vanilla. MMM....now I want to go make more, lol. Oh and I add some almonds towards the end of the baking too.
  • I love chicken and broccoli and an average 1 cup serving is 300 calories so with rice you'd probably still be in the 400-500 range. MMMMM...chinese food. :)
  • I totally disagree that Body Pump isn't cardio! My heart rate is pounding, I created my own line in the exercises for it and use 500 as my average but I never eat all 500 calories b/c I know that's an estimate. I LOVE Body Pump! :)
  • Tiffany, I will be praying for you, it's no fun when your parents are going through a divorce. I hope you can find some time to get out, maybe take a walk? Take care!
  • I agree with engineman. Just pick one and go with that. I used to check myself at the gym and it was always slightly different than my scale and home and then I realized that between the two a slight difference didn't matter, as long as I'm making progress overall. Good Luck!
  • I agree with those that said it's from pushing from the ball of your foot. I used to get this really bad every time I used the elliptical but now I make a conscious effort to push with the heel. When I forget and push with the balls of my feet it always starts happening again. I wonder if those that said it happens on one…
  • Cup of Honey Vanilla Greek yogurt blended with 1 Tbsp peanut butter. Cut up apple slices to dip. MMMMMMM
  • Just to concur with the others, I think it's fine. Just another example of how all kids are different. My oldest son was cruising furniture at 10-11 months but wasn't crawling, same thing he just didn't seem interested. Anyway we thought he's just start walking and skip crawling but he actually dropped down to crawl at one…
  • I totally agree. When I started changing my eating habits the family had to come along with me because I make all the food. My kids, I just have two boys, are both told they need to take one, maybe two bites to try it and then they can go. We actually don't even give them the cereal option it's this or they can eat at…
  • Fantastic!! That is my next mini-goal! Hopefully by my birthday at the end of April.
  • There's all kinds of things you can do with hand-weights and/or if you can, get a resistance band. I know you can google most of these to get videos to show you if you're not familiar but for arms you can do bicep curls, bicep presses, tricep kick-backs, overhead presses for triceps, for legs you can do squats with the…
  • I'm at a 5000 BTU air conditioner plus an average rack of baby back ribs. ;) Way to go everyone, no matter where you are on your journey what matters is that you started. Merry Christmas!
  • Take a minute and just be so proud of all that you've accomplished so far! Huge High-Five to you! :)
  • WOOOOOOT!! Way to go! :)
  • Instant lottery tickets.
  • Well that kinda sucks but no worries, I'll keep going. Good Luck all! sorry for the double, my computer hiccup'd.
  • Well that kinda sucks but no worries, I'll keep going. Good Luck all!

  • You definitely don't have to run to get in shape. While it's true that running is a great cardio exercise and you can build endurance and stamina but the same can be said for other low-impact cardio. With knee issues the elliptical is great! Or if you're able you can start swimming. If neither of those work you can also go…
  • The other thing I would ask, in addition to the great idea about your Vit D and B12 levels is how much are you eating? What are you eating? I've seen it before on here where people cut our their 'bad' thing but then overall they're starving themselves. Too few calories overall will cause all those sluggish and irritable…
  • I'm sensing a fantastic sarcasm theme to your posts tonight. Well done! You made me chuckle both times. :)
  • Great line! Thanks for the chuckle.

  • For me personally I love lifting because I feel so strong. I also feel tighter and leaner and have no issues with sagging skin. It may be that my weight loss journey is slower than some others because of the lifting (just my theory) but if it means no saggy skin along the way then I'm all for it. (My journey started Oct…
  • LOL, that happens to me too. :) Great minds though...
