I have been without a gall bladder for over 30 years....For the first 5 or so years, really greasy foods did a number on me (just had to wait for an hour or so before leaving the house...lol). Today, I tolerate fats very well....Different for everybody

my understanding is that the strips measure the amount of ketones that are being eliminated! so....trace shows you are in ketosis.....meaning that most of the ketones are still in your body doing their work?.....darker color does not mean "more ketosis"?

I find myself just mostly "snacking" on keto friendly foods.....as far as meals go, I find myself not being hungry enough most of the time. I do meet my macros on most days. Have been on this "diet" for almost a month....feeling great! and have lost 13 lbs. Today I rendered some pork skins that I got cheaply from the…

I too had my gall bladder removed, and the ONLY foods that play havoc with my digestion are KFC and bacon. I LOVE BACON!!, so I plan to eat it only on days when I can stay at home...lol.I gave up KFC completely.

I am like many on here. Went on maintenance about 3 months ago, and was terrified of gaining when I upped my calories. I have left myself a 3 lb. "window". In other words, I went 3 lbs. below my goal weight. I have not logged for 2 months now, but weigh myself a few times a week, and if I get up to my goal weight, I feel I…

My goal was 135, so I went to 131 for leeway. When and if I go over 135 (I weigh weekly), I cut out certain foods that I am sure contributed to my increase....

hmmm....just been going through the replies here, and see that us 5'4" gals are kinda "stuck"!....I reached my goal weight of 135 a month or so ago....dropped to 133 (wiggle room). I AM maintaining, but really have been trying to lose another 5lb, and finding it extremely difficult...

I am 5'4", and started at 160 in mid-January. Getting to 145, top edge of healthy BMI was relatively easy, but I wanted to get into middle level also. I am now maintaining between 130-135, and let me tell you that losing those last 10 pounds has been a looong, and often discouraging process. It probably would not have been…

I lost 28 lbs. in 5 months, just by eating 1200 (or slightly less) cals. per day, since January. My exercise through the winter was NIL, other than shovelling snow, and in the spring/summer, just moderate gardening. I went from 160 to 132, and was never hungry. Bear in mind, that I am 66 years old, so my metabolism has…

Yes! I am 66...high blood pressure, no gall bladder, bad right arm (chronic pain..cannot lift arm due to failed surgery after shoulder break, so difficult to do a lot of lifting), menopausal for 20 years. I have lost 27 pounds in 5 months with diet change and some walking, and lots of gardening. I am at goal,(133lbs, 5'4")…

to zazielascaux....you are right about jumping on the "abuse" wagon. I mentioned it first, because it was soooo familiar in my situation, which definitely WAS abuse. I hope that OP determines what her situation is....

I feel your pain...I was in a verbally abusive marriage once, and walked away before my confidence was totally destroyed. You are doing this for yourself..no?

I, too, am amazed at the variety of sizes for us 5'4" gals. At 160 lbs.(when I started my weight loss journey), I was wearing tight 12 pants, and large tops. Today, I am 134 lbs. and am fitting comfortably into MOST size 8 pants, medium tops. This is the same size as I was at my lightest in my adult life. However, I am not…

I guess this is where "tone" makes a difference. Same weight and height as you, but 2 inches bigger in all areas...and I am 66

easiest way to prepare a whole meal!!- I put a tilapia fillet (or trout) in steamer basket with cauliflower and broccoli. Steam for about 5 -8 minutes, and done! a little butter and seasoning, and you have a whole meal!
