For those who have suggested that waiting will make the craving pass: that is usually not the case for me. On the particular day that I made the original post I waited about an hour and a half before giving into my cravings.

I have to say, the whole "don't waste it, eat it" argument is part of the reason I'm fat! I've found it much harder to reduce the sugar in my coffee, and I'm trying to find a way to reduce my breakfast so I have more to work with in the evening.

I have been adding benefiber (well, the wal-mart version) to my drinks. It's tasteless and adds a lot of fiber, which helps me feel full longer. I notice the days I add less, I'm hungrier. It depends on your goals. If all you care about is weight lose, yes, you can eat whatever you want as long as you are below your caloric goal for the day. Unlike food, you can live without alcohol. However, I understand how hard it can be to quit a vice (mine is sugar.) Can you reduce the amount you consume, or maybe change the type of drink from say... a margarita to a glass of wine?

I'm finding barbeque to be particularly hard because things like the amount of sugar in the sauce varies SO much. And the only thing resembling a vegetable at this place is coleslaw (which I HATE!)

Part of my problem is that feeling of "deprivation." I applaud people who can go from eating fast food 2-3 times a day to eating a fast food salad once a week and not feeling deprived at all, but that is not me. I am 5'2 and 27. The math hurts my head. I'm starting to suspect math is part of my weight problem! I just used mfp and I'm set at 1580 before working out. I've lost 2 lbs. a week, 2 consecutive weeks. So far, it's working for me, but it's only been 2 weeks.

Most delivery places have their nutritional value posted on the internet. You can also at least eyeball how much wine you put in your glass and put in "red wine, x ounces."

I have this same problem. And the veggies I DO like aren't traditional ones, like peas and carrots. I have learned to go back and try foods I didn't think I liked because our tastes change over time. So if you haven't tried broccoli in 10 years, give it another chance.

I struggle with this too. But once you figure out the numbers for a recipe, you can make it again and again. Just measure and count everything as you're putting it in. Also, a lot of recipes you find online now have the nutritional info. AND there are a lot of online recipes already listed in options you can select on here.
