Headaches and not feeling good.

Hey everyone,

I am hoping that someone might feel the same as me. I have been eating healthy for the last 2.5 weeks and working out for the last 1.5 weeks. At first I felt great...stomach not bloated, loved working out...over all great feeling.

Now for the last 2 days I have been dealing with this headache and my stomach feels blah. I wake up feeling great and then about 1.5 hours later I get a headache and by lunch my stomach feels off. I do not know what it could be. I am making sure to drink lots of water, not eating the junk food or pop. It gets to the point that I do not want to work out.

Could it just be that my system is getting use the the change in food and exercise, maybe I just need a really good night sleep or just the weather (the joys on Ontario...nice, cold, sunny, snowing, freezing rain..all in one day).

I am just looking to see if anyone dealt with this and how they fixed it.

Thanks everyone.

If you were drinking pop with caffeine in it, and have stopped, that could be the source of your headaches......and if you are anything like me, headaches lead to other physical symptoms, such as an upset stomach.
Your body may still be adjusting.....or it could be the weather......or it could be something more serious. Listen to your body. If you continue to feel ill, please consult your doctor. We are, for the most part, just ordinary people sharing personal experiences.

Couple of things....you might not be eating enough if you're working out and cutting calories. If you've stopped caffeine intake, you might be having some withdrawals. I can't see your diary, but not all "healthy" foods are created equal and maybe you're not getting something that you need. And I would look into you Iron intake. Weather and sleep affect me...so it could be that too. But I'd make sure you're well balanced the whole way around.
  • I can get migraines if I have too much physical stress (push myself way too hard during a work out, way under eat, or increase/decrease my caffeine intake dramatically.) How many calories are you set for?

How much are you eating? Make sure you are sleeping enough and eating enough.

if you open up your diary, people could have a better idea of what you're eating and how much.

Drink lots of water, eat more. Get more sleep. Maybe you have the flu. and yes Ontario weather has been pretty messed up lately so that could be it too.

When I was on the 1200 cal plan I did great for about 3 weeks, then I started getting headaches, wasn't pooping (I know tmi) and it was my body's way of telling me I wasn't eating enough. Depending on how many calories you are eating that could be the reason.

Honestly, the headaches are caused by a lack of sodium. Drink a serving of chicken broth or a diet drink that has some sodium and it will go away quickly :)
