I am new here (running board) but will be running a few 5 k1's and roped into a half marathon in November. I know I can do this since I ran in high school in 1975. I am going for fifty miles since I am at the end of C25K and may take the 10K part of it.

I agree with the other posters and you. If you do not push yourself, you will never move forward. The other person is either jealous or an idiot.

Danielle, I have also heard that you should eat back your exercise calories or at least some of them. I walk and allow myself some overage but not all of them since I am not sure that I am counting my walks correctly. To me it is a rugh walk where it is probably a stroll. I think it affects each of us in different ways.
