There is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate. Your body can produce all of the glucose it requires without eating any carbs. Just because the body burns them first doesn't make them the preferred fuel source. It is not very efficient for the main source of energy to be fast burning.

My main secret has been doing keto, or a low carb high fat diet. Another is that I drink a ton of water, about half my weight or a bit more in ounces. Couldn't be happier with it.

Yes. Anyone can lose weight. I never thought I would find something that worked for me that didn't involve surgery. Everything I tried never lasted more than a week or so. Then 28 weeks ago I found the one thing that works for me, a low carb high fat diet. In that 28 weeks I have lost 133lbs, just from diet alone.

I lost all mine with keto. Best thing I ever did for myself. It's not for everyone, but it suits me just fine.
